Description : Edit: I've changed the drum and pads a bit and added some panning.
An orchestral/electronic/ambient track with vocals. I tried to create a strong sense of a dreamscape. The speech in the track was done by Alan Watts.
I cant really decide what genre this track belongs to, since the track isn't exactly Trance or Dubstep. Perhaps Chillstep/Melodic-Dubstep more accurately describes it.

Sup man. So I was almost about to take another break from this site but then I listened to this. This really calms me down man, been just a little stressed out lately.
Nothing I can't handle though ha but yea digging the sounds and rework. I can't remember exactly how the original sounds but this version is pretty good. I remember the vocals, you chopped em pretty good. I like the chill vibes alot. Sounds great to me, I guess the vocals could be tweaked a bit but I like the gentleness of them.
There could be a bit more variation and the mix isn't that bad. Keep working bro, peace
Oh Snap! This track got proper all of a sudden with just a few changes. Keep tweaking, it's paying off bigtime!
Automation is the key imo.
Good job.

Nice. I like what you did with the panning. Especially on that big chorus pad. The drums sound better too!
I don't know if you're still working with one speaker, but if you are, it's pretty impressive to get that done with one ear!
That little voice is a neat one. It stays with you after the track is finished. It definitely adds to the whole dreamy-chill factor.
Again, excellent work. Keep 'em comin'!
Take care.

I found my headphones, so I finally got the panning done. As you suggested, I added a bit of delay to the chorus pad to smooth it out. I also mirrored the chorus pad with a Saw, to give the sound a more 'bold' tone.
Thanks for the suggestions though, it has really helped bring this track to life.
Very cool vibe here. I like the vocal sample but agree with Valve that it needs some tweaking if you want to keep it prominent in the mix. Could put simple lfo on it and knob-ride automation or some ping pong pitch delays if you are low on knobs. :D Sounds like perfect gaming music to me. It would calm me down when i realized the key needed for the end of level door is the same one dropped two worlds ago to make room for more arrows.
Dreams move laterally and have transfinite perimeters. Which means they're all over the place and seemingly infinite in size.
Keeping that in mind, the little vocal thing you have going through this is on a linear track. It doesn't move anywhere but front to back. Try some panning and volume automation. Maybe a little delay. Give it freedom to roam. Same with the gated chorus. It's effective, but some creative panning would really bring it to life. The only other suggestion I have is maybe add a little more variation to the drums. Maybe some hats and a couple rides to help fill in some of the spaces.
The use of Allan Watts was an excellent choice. You just can't go wrong with that. The whole atmosphere of the track is a good one and I can see, or hear, rather, how it's a dreamy one. I really like the concept and, honestly, it's good as it is, I just think it could be better with some super easy adjustments.
Thanks for the comment. In the past, I've made the mistake of making too many layers in my tracks, so I tried to keep this track as minimalistic as I could.
To be honest, the drums also bugged me a bit, as I knew something new could be thrown in there. I went wild with reverb in this track though, but I couldn't find much place for delay. As for panning, thats really something I need to add to my tracks (unfortunately, I only have one operational speaker at the moment and I cant find my headphones :( , so I kind of just abandoned panning on this track, as I cant hear it).
But I agree with everything you said. I'll definitely have to make some minor adjustments.
Thanks for the feedback!

Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
