What a great piece!...if not anything you embody the spirit of Miles...that Rhodes piano sound is straight out of "Bitches Brew" or is it a Yamaha electric grand?...whatever-I love your playing it's way cool!...cheers planet

on And Broken Again..... by PsychotropicCircle
The winds of creativity are blowing strong in this production......The craftsmanship of this piece and all your music is simply sublime!...Whatever the magnitude or from any perspective this music stands up to the closest scrutiny...Aesthetically this stands on very high ground yet there's absolutely no pretentiousness about it..in fact quite the opposite..it invites you in and swirls delightfully around the senses....Amelia June is a wonder!..her husky emotive style just floats and flows like smoke around your notes.....plus..I don't think there's a bass player alive or dead that wouldn't just sit down and smile after listening to this piece.......Brilliant!.......planet

Hey Mo...this is really cool! less is more, heaps and heaps of space but no slack..I've got to hear the finished version with the vox wrapped in...I really love that almost lazy guitar and the flute just blows the froth off it......choice!...cheers planet

on Pachel-effing-bel (in D) by coolvibe
Yeah!...rip it up..it's got that raw go for it attitude stamped all over this piece...if you'd been having a few beforehand it doesn't hurt at all.....makes you want to get up and yell!(don't know what)...cheers planet
coolvibe
coolvibe replied Unknown
I'm sure Pachelbel is shaking his head at this from wherever he is, but I had fun making this. The canon can be abused for almost anything. Everyone else is raping it, so I thought I should have a go. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it.

on Hypervenom by Scriptique
"I payed my two bits to see the high diving act..and I got to see the high diving act!"(apologies to Yosemite Sam).....after listening to that..well I feel..Satisfied is the word that seems most appropriate....I enjoyed this on quite a few levels...but what I really dig is the inherently optimistic cheery attitude at the core of the performance....Bravo!... Bloody marvellous!........cheers planet

This reminds me of a discotheque in Spain I once went to,don't ask me why they weren't playing anything like this...it must have something to do with the light show images that this piece is projecting.....cool job!...cheers planet

on Short Digital Interlude by PsychotropicCircle
Every element seems to have it's own exclusive frequency range..I can hear it all so well!...aside from a lovely meandering melody line..this is a text book example of mixing and mastering...it's pretty obvious that the upload limit has shortened this piece, otherwise I could imagine it would be quite lengthy and totally captivating....par excellance'!...cheers planet
PsychotropicCircle
PsychotropicCircle replied Unknown
thanks planet, you´re right about the range of frequencies that´s why i used the whole orchestral spectrum from piccolo flute to basses and tympani to castanets.....you´v a very fine ear, always
btw, when i saw you calling me MrPC i was thinking of the same track title on the album of John Coltrane´s Giant Steps and it was the nickname of Paul Chambers his bass player (an incredible musician).......did you know this ?.......anyway one of the best compliments someone can give to a bass player (from a bass player)........a great honor, cheers robert

Wow...I think that was the first track to actually break the sound barrier!....I like it..quite unique...and way different...I can see how you could incorporate this trick into a lot of situations within a track....never would have thought of it myself....pushing the boundaries dude!....cheers planet

Sound barrier :) - i think with a little fine tuning and a rather larger ampilifier i could try that :P

Thanks, planet :)

on The Transient by 36Chambers
This is great! What an emotive mix of elements. The intro was very mysterious and then the whole track opened up like a sprouting seedling in stop action photography...By the way welcome to Looperman Cham..man you've hit the ground running!..this style will have many fans here, the production values are excellent with a great range of nuances(I really dig the classical guitar insert)...by the way.. if you haven't done so already, introduce yourself in the forum area so people become aware of you and give notice there when you upload a track...that way more people will hear this great music......cool tune!...cheers planet :)

Hey man this is transportable...almost eightyish but without the dress code...what a great mix of sounds to formulate a super funky and fresh tune...mrrobot/Markus is one clever dude, great sounding bass!lay some Reister guitar and keylines and presto!..groove magic!...as Bilbozo comments this has definite commercial potential, which really means it's that smooth and sharp people will pay for it..I agree.....fantastic new dimensions of Rei,great work!.....cheers planet

Hey mate...cool feel..a great vibe started here....I agree with a lot of what's already been said...let me just add that in your introductory post in the forum you hinted at this blend of genres...well you certainly have delivered on that pronouncement.....this sort of groove will always be way popular...it gets right into your system from the first beat......I love it!...hope to hear lots more from you...cheers planet

on Broken Butterfly by scratchrabbitt
Before I heard this track I wouldn't have had any conception about the elements of 'Glitch'. I probably still don't but what I can say is that this is a very well conceived piece of music..there's a great synchronization about it all, with plenty of breathing space....weird,but I find it very harmonious and relaxing,I was half expecting some humongous sound to suddenly appear...but no it all panned out smoothly.......cool cheers planet

Haha, thanks for the kind words planet ^_______^
After listening to the different effects i've used in this song, it's pretty apparent i was influenced by World's End Girlfriend and Nauseous Youth Future. A lot of the calming, and soothing elements in it are what those two focus on in music as well. Some Glitch and IDM can be harsh, but..I don't think that's my 'thing' when it comes to this particular style. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, though! Thanks greatly for the time and review

on Bilbo's Axe by Mokeone
This is great!......Bilbozo plays a mean axe and it's great to hear his music from your perspective..those cymbal segues are wicked and the drums are super bottom end!....a great mix of the expected and unexpected.......cool work and a very up in your face track...cheers planet

on Everyday I Hate You by SpAzz
Whoa!...this is great!.....with a minimal amount of backing this really takes off..the vocals and drums are blitzing!...what's more the very absence of multiple instruments or sounds actually generate those very elements..I don't know how you've done it,it must be the inherent tension within the piece that's stimulating my subconscience or imagination....now that doesn't happen every day!.......freakin' awesome!.....cheers planet

Thnx man, that means alot. but..... i updated my track and wanna know if youll take another peek at it? i was wondering why it was sounding wrong in so many ways and i made the mistake of mixing it down in mono. tell me whatcha think now!!

Audio Art..(hehe..nearly blew my cones on this one when the bass beats start...or is that a distortion effect?)...very interesting..I've got to say I like your approach to music..not all the conventions have been thrown out,but it is new and artistic with a great drumcentric feel.....I'm a fan.....cheers planet

on (LCE) Snooze Button (DVs synth side) by DonnieVyros
Hey this is almost Doctor Whoish.....very interesting direction...post modern electronica.....I think this track has the potential for a lot of applications...film,club..whatever...a slightly abrupt ending or was I just waking out of a brief day dream....nice one!...cheers planet
DonnieVyros
DonnieVyros replied Unknown
Thanks,
The ending was done to match exactly that. As if in a video it would show the person opening their eyes. As for the apps, I totally agree. I just wish I had better hardware, because I had this wicked idea for making elements of this song warble in and out. Shoot, effects in general there's alot that can be done. Don't really see the Bond film comparison though, but it's cool.
Thanks again, L&R!

PS. Just gave ya props on the collab
ya did w/Eshar- FunkJazz Planet,
