Description : This might be spitrual, not nessicarilly religous. Sunday morning my wife and I packed up the car before church so we could go straight to the lake afterwards. As we entered church early we herd the choir practiceing "Let it rain" A simple song, yet a favorite of mine. During service all the songs were about rain. I got to thinking how I've always wanted to do a song about rain. Think CCR and everyone else. So I planed to sit at the lake and work on it. Well it looked like rain so we didn't go. Monday night at jail it was lightly raining as we went in.After I did praise and worship I play softy in the back ground and came up with this. It was a bad storm out side and I'm thinking about my lyrics. Softly falling rain my but. As we left the other 2 guys had umbrellas that the wind destroyed and we all got soaking wet.

I would compare this to Jim Croche or John Denver.
I usually don't say what I think about my songs, but I really like it.

Listening to your tracks after a year, my bad.

I really loved this track, big fan of your voice. Just with the help of guitar and vocals you have you have expressed all the emotions so nicely. Yes I agree that's the true art. Thanks a lot sir for uploading such a great track.

loooov the depressiv kinda mood you created from beginning with the luvly guitar chords... maybe make that voice a bit louder so I can hear it better besides that easy goin man I'm sure you know how to get a girl hoooked with only your voice and a guitar =D badboy!

My wife has to listen to me play songs over and over again till I basically have it memorized and can play it without thinking. I think that sometimes she just doesn't realize what a genius I am. LOL. Thanks for listening.

But this struck a chord for one reason or another. Reading others comments and thinking about things, it just kind of makes me think back to when I was younger, and how it didn't seem so damn complicated. Need some of that rain to come around and get a good soul cleansing, know what I mean?

Damn, now I just want to go ride my bike and run around in the woods or build a fort or something.

Excellent song man.

I'm really glad it caused emoition. I write songs. Play the guitar and sing so that they get done. Just started this recording stuff. I write from my heart and my own experiances. And hope that people relate. Reviews like this mean the world to me. Thanks.

People always run for shelter when it rains. As long as there is no lightning, I walk a little slower than normal and just enjoy the feel of the rain on my skin. There is nothing like coming home soaked and cold from the rain, taking a hot shower to warm up, and then snuggle under the covers with a good book. That to me is absolute and total relaxation.

thanks a lot. Sometimes it works. Look down 2 reviews from this. AcidParadox. He did a cover of this song with my permission. You should check it out. Violin and everything. I just write and pick at a guitar. And sing when I have too.

Taken back to a moment in the summer of '90, I think. I just remember that it was back when I lived in Va Beach and on one particular day it started raining and instead of seeking shelter inside my friends and I stayed and played out in it. I'd say that it was probably in the mid 80s that day and the rain was nice and cold. About the same as the water in an indoor swimming pool. I tell you, once we were all completely drenched it was one of the most refreshing sensations a person could feel with their cloths on. Ok, that was a bad joke ending, but it did feel really great. And I remember that once the rain stopped it kinda made me sad. As if our good little time was over with the passing of the storm clouds. Thanks for the flashback!

Hi Blair,
Getting around catch up on some listening to tracks here today.
I like this song you did here. I liked the words and could hear them clearly and sounds heartfelt. I think a little less reverb would bring the guitar and voice to the front more in the mix.
You have a good voice too!

I think this song demonstrates a great deal of talent and creativity with passion and enthusiasm to tie the two together.

I agree with Bill...an untouched,one take recording can have it's pitfalls...but the benefits far outweigh any quality control issues.
A truly delightful piece,sung with sincerity and meaning...believe me when I say I know all about rain and how it effects us spiritually,emotionally and physically.....great work!...cheers planet
