I was pretty surprised when I saw in description there's no guitar there,
cause some sounds appear quite guitarish and it's amazing you achieve it
with other instruments. You do wonders with that cello thing...it's truly
fantastic and it blends very well within the whole sound picture. by the way, if I may ask, which violin vst do you use?...sounds cool as well !
Well done mate and thanks for uploading !:)
Yes,I know a lot of people will find it hard to believe that there's no guitar in this but it's true. That's what guitar distortion does - it fools you into thinking that what is being put through it is a guitar. Just because that sort of distortion is so closely associated with guitar.
The violin VST is just a patch that you'll find in Propellerheads' Reason DAW. So, not a violin VST you can buy for use in other software. I've used it in so many tracks. Could be as many as 40!
"You do wonders with that cello thing"
Cello thing? It's just a cello - an electric rather than acoustic one. I have to do wonders with it as there's not much other instrumentation in here though there is a rather cool organ that perhaps no one has yet noticed that arrives at 2:14.
Wow Burt...swampy as it gets! The cinematic opening puts me right there in the center. Fantastic environmental effects....everything is so real!
Guitars are splendid again even though I would put them a tad lower in the mix, particularly the main one, but that's just personal preference and so it's no big deal....all in all fabulous work and production !
Real field recordings used from freesound, I love how it puts you right there while safely NOT there hahaha! Yeah that lead is a tad too loud, I'll have to adjust that. I'm going to make a better video instead of just a still frame picture. Loving this swampy slide guitar playing, never got it down on a six string. Thanks Orlando :D Watch out for those man eating leaches! They'll suck you dry if the mosquitoes don't carry you off first!
Thanks Orlando :p These guitars are very special being they're one of a kind handmade, not mass produced like so many overpriced ones. I LOVE spoken word with music!! So powerful. I really need to properly mix/master this. I'd like to make a cbg album for free download with this song along with some more unpublished material. I found Snowflake's and MissJudged pellas available for use on another site with the requirement to credit and link back, no problem since it's a pleasure to use such great works in my own stuff.
Absolutely great work...has a bit of cinematic touch. Vocals and interpretation are splendid here and production truly shines !
Faving this is a must!:)
Oh, no no my friend...who will believe you? You obviously didn't get lost
as title would suggest. You're still more than well on the track with your usual inventiveness and creativity! I'm a huge admirer of your "a bit off the wall" style and thank god you're always true to it. Faving this is a must !:)
Hey Orlando! Thank you for having a listen to this one! Your reaction to the title is entertaining to me, due to the underlying idea behind those words... I did in fact get lost again, but maybe not in the way that it could be assumed. Mostly it refers to being "lost" by the court system again. A third citation, in a period of four years, from which I could avoid trial or serious consequences. Luck of the Irie strikes again, I suppose. I'm always found in more pure form when the satisfaction is present, or the lack thereof. Thanks for the kindness... I'd rather be "off the wall" than hanging ON IT. Appreciate the fave my friend!
Exceptional collab I would say..! Lazy awesomeness of the track truly bewitched me this time. Aforementioned reminiscences of Led Zeppelin are
in place and the vocals are another highlight! Bravo !
How's it going Orlando? :D Transferring my music software onto my new desktop after 4 computers failed this week!! It's ok. they've been ressuscitated many times over. This is one gem I never posted. I'd love to share it with Ocean but deleted my soundcloud account. I'm cleaning up my mess of a page here so there'll be alot more unreleased material to be up over the next month. I know I have another 'pella from her to work with too. Isn't it funny how subconciously our musical influence come through :p Grew up on all those classic bands like the great Zepppelin and many not so well known metal and blues artists.
Dream album? Is it possible to get it somewhere?....Would like to hear it in its entirety..:) This is some great stuff my friend....really loved it! You're getting better and better...looking forward to hear more! Excellent job !
Hello Orrie,
With pleasure mate, as soon as it compleat I will send you the link for it.
Well mate, you and the legend Ed are 100 years a head of me I have to do something to catch up to you two???.
No, seriously thanks for your support mate also for the fav's too
Thanks again

Splendid composition and amazing vocals...truly a pleasant surprise to my ears. Yet is seems unfinished and it would be nice to hear complete version when it's done !:)
Excellent from start to finish..always a special treat my
friend...and not just musically but lyricaly as well and if we add your trademark vocal delivery the result is even greater! Excellent work again (as always) which deserves a big 'fav'!:)
Thank you very much Orlando.
Yes this was a great track to arrange, i wanted to capture the emotions of the lyrics and i think the Aboriginal Australian instrument tied them all well together.
Have a safe holiday and a great new year Orlando.
Blessings - Billy.
Hi Spiv ! You always took on some extraordinary project which clearly shows your inventiveness and passion for being out of the ordinary. I respect this helluvalot! And therefore sometimes seems that the process of doing things takes the spotlight even more than the actual result. As a music producer myself I easily cope with that and I completely support your approach on the way to artistic fulfillment. I will be watching for the EP release...that's for sure!:)
Thank you Orlando for always being involved in the comments for my songs! You are a big part of this community for me, and I respect that. It seems that the further I delve into musical expression, the more I become wrapped up in the creative process. It also seems that the results, and the listeners reactions, become more pleasing to me. I am enjoying the confidence and freedom to feel that I can release something such as this, without deep concern about "fallout." (Except maybe radioactive fallout!). Either way, I always enjoy hearing what you have to say after hearing my work, and I thank you!
Great stuff, my friend ! With Ed onboard this is even more special...so relaxed jazzy tune...I like it alot! Sax and guitar parts are really tasty. Well done to both of you!:)
I really like your work in general and this one is no exception. Always something very powerful in your sound.
This time the acoustic opening reminds me on Metallica, but only briefly and then piano starts raising the temperature
and after a minute and 3 quarters we're in full energetic motion...lots of interesting and effective changes along the way and splendid guitar work. One of your best moments for sure, but then again they're all well worth listening!
This is really cinematic above all....can't be any other genre. When I listened to the track it was giving me constant feeling like there was a TV set switched on the movie channel somewhere near by, only that I couldn't see it. Grat atmosphere, masterfully composed and produced. The acompanied video is nice, but I prefer to listen to this without the video, so I can create my own images in my mind. Bottom line...excellent work!:)
Thank you. I kinda like making the darker side. although this probably wasn't that dark. I agree about the video it is always better to use your own inmaginings. makes the music more personal. the video was an after thought and I had fun making it.
This was incredibly enjoyable listen my friend ! Cool and groovy funk/jazz style made a trick for my sunday afternoon listening. I can only wish more of that stuff in the future. Excellent !:)
Well my friend...this is now something I could call more trademark Anubis style that we all know from your previous works! This is excellent cinematic/ambient vibe with evident tribal feel and great use of flute parts. I'm so glad you're completely back with your old form and I'm looking forward to hear more of your material! Faved !:)
Hey, my friend.
I am very happy that you have enjoyed this track, flute has been my favorite instrument to insert into my tracks, because of her ability to turn the melody into something more legitimate and interesting, this instrument sounds perfect.
This song is at 110 bpm, so I'll be playing with 140 bpm on other tracks, they work well in that time frame.
