The drums are used very nicely here and this track certainly has a lot going on. I think this track would work great for a 1980's based Halloween party. Definitely would see lots of people trying to get their groove on. I'd be the one attempt to and fail horribly. Ending up on social media thanks to my awful dancing lol.
Hey thanks for listening. lol on the dancing. Eighties theme party it is! I´m going as as a Miami Vice Character (Sniff). It was a fun track to make. And now itś spurred aa creative streak with 4 songs in one week so far.
thanks for stopping bye.

Very cool Cru, loving All Hallows Funk this year! Does have that dark melancholic feel I love so much. Those psychoactive drugs are really kicking in now! Who spiked the punch? The grateful dead once played a warehouse and spiked the punch with lsd, when the cops came to shut them down they fed them some punch :p
Were getting together a massive collection of Halloween music this year coming from all directions. With my music you don even need the punch spiked to go off on a trip.
thanks for the props.

Infectious! I love the flow of all the sounds you created. That percussive sequence that plays throughout the song sounds so trippy. The end surprised me not once but twice. First when the (trumpet?)came into the mix and again with the guitar that followed it. Everything sounds properly leveled and good in my ears. Faved!
Hey Crypt, glad u liked it. I built this song up from that percussion sequence as I loved how it sounded moody, mysterious and groovy at the same time. So I decided early on that I would bring sounds in and out and warp them until the end when I could bring in the piano and the guitars and have the full musical sequence. And yes that´s a trumpet and a trombone. Thanks for the nice words.

The entering part till 1:07 was so amazing. I actually would enjoy listening to that on loop for like 5 minutes :D. Rest of track, hmmmm i am kinda 50\50 on it right now. Sometimes i just don't get into some songs from 1st try. I will give it another few tries later. Good job.
This song was built from the percussion on up. Sometimes I like to do that then build a complex sound that you here in the middle or at the end, and then i break it all down again. I used to love 12 inch single dub mixes of songs that would do that, so i would learn how songs are built and arranged.
Cru
love the bass guitar motif and the laid back funkiness. I prefer Lindt dark chocolate which goes with the dark and mysterious track. This is so very nice it would go down well in any club TASTY ..good job best regards.
Hey Cru, definitely diggin this this track, its an awesome club mix for sure. I will download and try to get it in the hands of some friends who DJ at some of the most happing clubs here in "Big D". Cant wait to hear it crankin at the Lizard Lounge!
Thanks for that. I would love to hear this track on a club sound system and see the reaction of the people as they hear and dance to it. That would be awesome. Lizard lounge has a great reputation, i even know of it up here in Canada. Thanks for the props and help.

Wicked!!! I like your song a lot! You seem to have a strong hand in fusion genres together with ease. I've never been a real funk lover actually. Yet your track Hallows Funk already took my liking's. This one triples that.
Maybe its because I love house, moombahton and a good groove. You've totally made it your own sound tho. This song is like a good glass of wine. Easy enough to drink, but interesting enough as in discovering new flavors along the way after multiple sips. :D
My only feedback would be to have the vocals at 1:06 slightly faded in. Just for 1 sec to get it rounded and not coming in out of nothing. But its just a minor detail. You've officially own the record of letting me fave my first funk(y) track ;)
Thanks Wobbin, Already adjusted the vox intro as U suggested (good idea). I do have the ability to meld genres together with ease. I do not not believe in static genres. Music is better than genre and easily transcends it from a theory point of view. Great analogy by describing wine, you are very correct in that. Too me funk is just a cool derivative of R & B and Disco which ultimately morphed into hip hop and House music, so there is so much variation that can be made by finding a good groove or riff and just playing with it or experimenting with the sound. Thanks for stopping bye.
Cru
time for some crucethus! i would say it stayed in the jazzy realm and the halloween realm alltogether. nicely done. I have read the thread that said something about making a halloween type of arrangement and well you nailed that :D good stuff keep it comming
Thanks KB ,I think I did stay in the funky zone with a touch of darkness. Im a little flummoxed by all the accolades for this tune, but hey, the public is a better judge than I am sometimes on my music. Thanks for the props and hanging out in the Cru-Zone

My first sentence should be the same as Danke's but I don't want to be accused of plagiarism, yet the fact is that I'm still hardly catching up with all good things on Looperman.
And no doubt...you're one of the most established creators
of those good things. Your new brilliant work only confirms that! Thumbs up for you Steve...with a 'fav'!:)
Very kind from the master of pads and your own brilliant compositions that vary from genre to genre.
Fist bump with a double sided spinorama and a lo five!

Cool about the trumpets. I wanted some brass to give that Dixie funeral vibe. I also experimented with some reverb spaces with the muted trumpet around 2:50 to give depth and bring in the rhodes piano jazz chords. thanks for commenting.
Cru
Thanks Metabolic. This little -yeah I´ll do a halloween track for you (took over 3 and a half hours) is finding some legs. New software and a new computer is helping me with the process. Thanks for stopping bye.

Thanks PHD guy from Miami. So put some of your work on here. Ask Questions, we are all cool and will give u advice if your willing to learn. You can learn so much from the musicians on this site and understand what we do as loopers (arrangers). But you will find that you will have knowledge to give us as well, and that´s the cool part. The give & take. Welcome to our community.

I'm liking the tremolo effect.. I fucking love tremolo.
The mix is very tasty, particularly the snare :D
I want to hear some vocals on this, with the right guy or gal this'd be even more fantastic.
I'm having trouble spotting anything problematic.
The composition of the ended was just superb, fantastic dude, well done :)
