This is great! So nice to hear this recorded live, the playing was really on. The piano solo in the middle got me, Richard had some real nice fills too!! Thanks for sharing these sessions!

I love the original and this was quite faithful to it. Nice band interplay and the laughing Tenor sax trill was a standout - good stuff.

It feels like time-warping into that moment right between Big Band and Jazz. The jazz sensibility you guys are jacked into is fantastic! I totally agree with PBJ about the restraint shown by your drummer - totally happening track! Faved.

Hey guys I love this..it's so Live!(haha I know that sounds lame)but you don't get much live material on this site and it's a welcome relief seeing and hearing people actually playing instruments together! lol..for a first take,I dips me lid...everything went smoothly with everyone getting a look in...also great presence of mind by the drummer Luke in playing with controlled restraint, how many times in a quick recording situation do the drums overpower everything..though thank god for jazz drummers who actually have some musical sensibilities..lol (apologies to all you rock drummers out there!)haha....I really dig this and can't wait to hear your next offering...cheers planet :) (and I might add that the recording quality of this track is very cool!)

Now this is some real funk! It's cool to hear some real instrumentation, so much of what's on the loop is all sequenced (including most of what I do lol). This track really puts a smile on my face! I love how all the instruments compliment eachother so well, this is mixed great! Really enjoyable track! Thanks for sharing!

Simply brilliant! The bass sounds great, I'll have to try to add the wah wah to the bass and see if I can get it to sound remotely as good as yours. You guys are pure talent and such a joy to listen to!

Hey Slap, its been a long time. Another great piece, not a surprise really, given your talent, but still needs to be said. Love this piece as much as I love everything you do. 19\10

I used some of your flute and sax loops in a piece I called Faith. If you can, listen and let me know what you think.

All the best, as always

Hey man is Riff Laden related to Osama?.....you can take all the guitars,piano's,etc....take all those instruments that are multi timbrel, create chords and are generally regarded as polyphonic and put them to one side...nothing beats a horn section..nothing! all other musical impact statements fall short....the term 'blown away' has a literal meaning here...this track is one of the 'filthiest' bad arsed tunes I've heard in a month of Sundays...makes a person breathless just listening to it! sheesh...cheers Dave :)

You know it's probably the hardest thing blues wise in my opinion to make a twelve bar sound fresh and interesting...you and Alexander have gone way past that!..hard driving, solid and way forceful...tres cool dudes!..cheers Dave

Hello Mr. Slap,

I am impressied with your productions! This one kind takes me back to the 70s. I used to listen to a lot of Jazz when I was really little. Used to love the stuff. Apparently I still do because you and your sons playin' got me moving. I listened to the whole song. Very nice production. You should definitely be going somewhere with songs like these! Keep up the great work.

Hi GJ, I love the band Super Funk as well as Sly and the family stone, so maybe these songs are a tribute to 70's funk in a way. Influence is a great thing to use, but it's bad to copy. I think I have used influence as my basis... Thanks for the review.

Cheers Slap...
