wow...... Beautiful. Very wavy like a dream turned into a reality. Scary when you remember it's a dream, but it's so beautiful you want to share this vision with everyone. And it ends abruptly, like waking up. Does n0mad23 like this? Because I know he would (I'm a fan of n0mad23). Faving and downloading.
Peace

My slowpokedness is slowly wearing and I will transfer this all to you!
I used those previously mentioned VST's. Dblue's glitch (horribly apparent to me, tape-stop 1 shot)
The Trip out part is intricate volume gates. Basically on every transient note I cut the volume completely, then after resampling it's just a matter of waiting for tracks to finish rendering.)

But anyway, I hear the bass, I never even tried.
I will make sure to send the drum track, that's all live stuff... Ableton 8 and KJ sawka samples now that I think about it!

Why do I keep hearing Death Metal and Bossa Nova over this!!

More cowbell definitely...

I also hear a lot of DnB... That stuffs where it's at... Humnn..

But yeah.. gimmeee.. like a couple days and I will try and render everything... I know I used a LOT of http://www.gersic.com/plugins/hosted/darkware/darkware.html

Anyway, I will send you the stems and seeds and see if you can't make a stew.

You know me and drumz - this is the best drum glitch track I've ever heard.

You're way better than you think.

Yes as already said in a previous review, I'm a bass freak, but I love drums too, because for me they are the heartbeat of a track.
I like all-drum tracks though, and to make a really good one takes skill and you've got it.
If I recall correctly you introduced me to glitch, and I really enjoy it now.

I'm really liking this track dude (thumbs up) and will play it again louder when I get back from my run.
I'm sending you a pic...check it when you can.

Yeah I'm proud of you...4 track awesomeness!

Now this is exceptional....and amazing that it is only 4 tracks.

I'm blown away by this one. I thought it might be fun to put something over it, but then again I think, "Why screw it up?"

It's perfect like it is.

Yet I'm compelled to see if I can add anything. So, I'll download it and if nothing else, marvel at your creativity.

Please Abe, before one of us dies, lets jam live and record it together. I think we could blow minds and hearts (our own as well) with what happens sonically.

Think about it, aye?

Love this!

Really feeling this one it's such a raw and haunting piece. I'm no stranger to relationship failure and the playing brought back a lot of feelings that I thought I had long passed. That's the beauty of a good song tho. Sometimes it's ok to hurt as much as you did before when you hear something that evokes feeling. There's passion and pain in that lead fighting with each other. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I've been to that place too and I like this song a lot.

Creative and downright cool. The vox were great. Parts of it, I'm not sure why, made me think of the old beatnick cafes.

Totally enjoyed listening

I remember those days back in the late 80's and 90's recording on 4 track cassette and 8 track reel to reel decks. Editing a track was nearly impossible but back then that's what we did to record. Emotional piece, especially after reading the description and knowing what the piece was written about. Nice one!

There are days when I wish I was back using my old reel to reel to record.....but they call this digital stuff progress....

meh, this tune proves how good the old ways were, and just how good music could sound.

Beautiful work my friend, absolutely beautiful.

Well this is a really nice one here 'livid. Fantastic guitar playing at the start, loved the backwards section, I like the fact that you only used four tracks. Really well played and put together, sounds like you put a LOT of time and effort into this one!

Fav'd.

hehe, ironically nope. .Probably spent 4 minutes in total. I mean chordally I had rehearsed this one to death, especially with friends and stuff, but when it came to the guitar stuff, it was kinda like.. "Oh okay, we got the chords, lets solo"
and back then I used to play guitar like 4-10 hours a day, so it was no thing. Just having fun!

I like it too.. I need to find a balance between this old stuff and my capabilities now.

Figured I'd take a listen after you took a listen to two of mine. The vocal samples were pretty awesome. The drums were top quality, the background synths are pretty quiet though, but I think its better with them in the background. I think some more vocals are needed in places, but other than that its a really good track, and I can't spot anything to improve upon!

Fantastic. Love the liseliness of it. Great playing, my friend, how many takes did it take? Prob just one or two I bet.

it was 4 tracks all live!

take one, pan it over here.
take two pan it right there.
take three mix a bit.
take four would be the mix down on the opposite side.
then you could kinda see where you are at. I remember spending a LOT of time listening to my tapes backwards!

some really nice ideas here brother....

definitely something I'd be into working with others live ....

this whole thing gets a little lonely doesn't it?

anyway ....

a cool track brother reminded me very much of some of the live stuff Jay Z does... nice

maybe a little too much one the crash for me...but maybe thats just me... because the drum track is great... I just get the little niggling feel that those crashes need to come down in the mix....did you record this live?

anyway kool and gang vibes brother

keep 'em coming
alividlife
alividlife replied Unknown
Yeah, you are totally right... I am still trying to find the right way to layer the last two drum takes with the whole piece.

Cause it's kinda just Intro, verse, and then it just floats on lol..... Gah, yea, it's live tho. I will try and lower the side-chain.. I think I was being a dummy and trying to side chain the cymbals to mah snares and mess up something.. I knew when I did it, but I was too tired and my ears hurt lol

Solid, SOLID groove! However I'm thinking maybe a little bit excessive on the cymbals. I would definitely flow over something crazy like this, just no time lately :(

Ultimately a solid track.
alividlife
alividlife replied Unknown
Yeah,... I feel like it kinda has a shuffle to it, and it's sparse enough that it doesn't detract from the "vocals" that aren't there lol..

Yeah, I sidechained the cymbals something to stupid.. like to my snare... d'oh... gonna fix that when I get a moment.

Thank you for listening.. I am in no way done.

It's not such a stupid title. When the track first starts it definitely has a prehistoric sound about it, if that makes sense.

I hear you on the jazzy definitely. I really like the bass but it's buried too deeply. I am a bass freak and would definitely like it to be much more prominent.

Your drums are awesome of course but they dominate the track too much in my opinion.

So you will notice that I haven't played the track on here...because I can't...I'm not even supposed to be checking the site lol.

Anyway...I like it, there's room for potential.

Gah...I'm not back so don't think that, but I guess this is the only way I can contact you as you didn't reply to my email.

Anyway, yeah it's me (passing through)
