I played the guitar, the bass, the rhodes, the sub sinewave, drums where open mic'd dynamically and directionally and I sampled myself, and I used some old guitar amps to get the reverb along with a great sample.
Stupidest title I could come up with,
Stupider little song I could come up with.
hah
I wrote this over the last few months here and there, playing drums and recording stuff... I hope it sounds ok level wise.
ohhh How I would love another bassplayer to enjoy and jam to this track!
I would love a rapper, bass player, or someone besides me to get down on this track...
Still fixing some levels... I hope it doesn't sound that bad =(

a cool track brother reminded me very much of some of the live stuff Jay Z does... nice
maybe a little too much one the crash for me...but maybe thats just me... because the drum track is great... I just get the little niggling feel that those crashes need to come down in the mix....did you record this live?

Cause it's kinda just Intro, verse, and then it just floats on lol..... Gah, yea, it's live tho. I will try and lower the side-chain.. I think I was being a dummy and trying to side chain the cymbals to mah snares and mess up something.. I knew when I did it, but I was too tired and my ears hurt lol
Ultimately a solid track.
Yeah, I sidechained the cymbals something to stupid.. like to my snare... d'oh... gonna fix that when I get a moment.

I hear you on the jazzy definitely. I really like the bass but it's buried too deeply. I am a bass freak and would definitely like it to be much more prominent.
Your drums are awesome of course but they dominate the track too much in my opinion.
So you will notice that I haven't played the track on here...because I can't...I'm not even supposed to be checking the site lol.
Anyway...I like it, there's room for potential.
