somewhere) Originally I envsioned this as theme
music for a TV police crime drama show, then heard Rihanna's catch phrase and thought going
with it this way would be neat and fun. Also, I used the drum loop "Knife Party-Rage Valley-
Drop Drum 3" by "ImJP" in the track. This thing is a work in progress, whatever it is.

Description : OK, I finally managed to find a song name, so here it is. But the genre is still open. ##### is it? World? Trip? Trance? Rock? psychedelic? .

I started this song with the wahwah background track, I think I wanted to go in the triphop direction but when I played with it and tried out things I added some Tabla sounds from the available sound library of the cubase software to it, just to get a feel for it. It sounded right somehow, and so it developed from there. As before, we did the work on wikiloops band section: bhunt1 (Brian) on Bass added his track, and rp3drums (Raymond) on drums (one straight drum track, and one para-diddle track). I then added several more guitar tracks.

So I would be happy to listen to your comments and advice, and if I get a good suggestion for name and genre I will change it. Cheers, TG :D

Description : My Dad found his old 8-track recorder. I think he was going to ask me if I was interested, but I was already half way to my room with it and a new song forming in my head.
This track is more of a straight-forward folk song. The opening is completely recorded on the 8-track, so it's a bit more lo-fi. Then the track kind of opens up into a cleaner chorus. I hope you enjoy my little experiment.

Description : Brutally honest and terribly contradictory, straight to the point by way of strange curving route between the river and the shopping mall. $5 minimum is a high price to pay for ignorance. I'll tolerate you when you've given in to my scare tactics. Couldn't have done the vocals the way they turned out without a certain ridiculous brainwashed fool, you know who you are. Go ahead, convince yourself that you're doing the right thing. This started out as a simple tech-house sort of instrumental, and then it blew up into what it is now. I used two looperman loops in composition for this track, firstly looperman-l-0630386-0060622-joefunktastic-funk-for-the-soul-drums1-95bpms, and secondly looperman-l-0711726-0058529-proecliptix-raw-loop-1. Thank you immensely to MrFunktastic and Proecliptix for the sweet energy. Beyond that, I want to thank RenzWilde for continuing my evolution as a guitarist... couldn't have done it without you. Guitar is played on my Jackson, which I finally got the floating tremolo set up properly on recently... ahhh intonation. Has a bit of atmospheric synth created on my microkorg, and a nice kick from the Zoom RT-123. Spot vocals and synthie vocals were recorded on my 100 proof mic. Here's what I've got, got anything of value to barter with?

Description : Drum n' Bass this time! Currently trying to get my self off of making dubsteppy things, so I made this. Inspiration comes from Camo & Krooked DJ sets, and is quite repetitive in my opinion. I've also tried turning the sub bass down on this one so it doesn't block out everything like my last songs. Same risers as all other songs. *This is the version straight out of GarageBand to keep within the (ridiculous) 10mb limit, thus is very quiet! Description : 'Bosa Marina' is the second song I recorded with Phil B. - leadsinger of the famous Dutch bluesband King Mo - in 2012 (first was 'Rain'). This is probably my most intricate Jimi Hendrix-hommage until now. The lyrics where there first. I wrote them during a stay (2010) on Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. I had just re(read) 'Crosstown Traffic', the definite book on Jimi Hendrix by Charles Shaar Murray. With me I had 'Hendrix, setting the record straight' by John McDermott & Eddie Kramer and 'Room Full of Mirrors' by Charles R. Cross. From these three books I could distill some of Jimi's interests (other than music). I learned that he was fond of science fiction, the idea of time travel, ancient civilisations, native Americans (his grandmother was fullblood Cherokee), reincarnation and voodoo. I tried to combine these elements in lyrics I wrote in a place called Bosa Marina on Sardinia, actually feeling the past and the future melting together under a blistering sun on the beach. The music came a year later when I stumbled on the very beautiful loop 'piano pad combo' by Looperman-member ShortBusMusic. This was the exact, laid back, jazzy mood I was looking for. The loop was the fundament I build the track on. After Phil B. recorded the lyrics, I filled in the structure with sounds 'answering' the lyrics or announcing them, hoping to give it a really space-out feeling. I'm very grateful to Phil who did an excellent job on this. All in all 'Bosa Marina' took two years to finish.
