Description : An 80BPM psychedelic, chillout, deep groove electric cello spectacular. It mostly consists of multiple layers of my heavily edited cello playing techniques (harmonics, pizzicato, bowing, tremoloing and a little spiccato) plus drums. Other instruments: bass guitar, 8 bars of electric guitar, Fender Rhodes, a trancey synth, one occasional bass synth and a processed chimey guitar synth. It's fairly minimal instrumentation for me as this is all about my cello explorations as I learn how to play the instrument and what sort of sounds I can get out of it. Drums are programmed hip hop and hard rock kits (2 of each), plus some fun glitch processing on one kit in a middle section. No drum loops. This was quite difficult to make and I've had to show real restraint in not making it longer and not adding any guitar in the rocking last 2 minutes. That just seemed too predictable so I chose not to do it at all. Shimmering, high, bowed, funky cello all the way instead! Have a listen and leave me some interesting thoughts and/or suggestions.

Description : UPDATE 3/31/2016 - Did some work on the mix and master thanks to the advice of Crucethus and promenade2239. I knew something needed work, and it turned out I need some shifting in the time-space continuum. Thanks to everyone who commented so far!


Original DESC - Yes, I admit it... I fall down. Different circumstances and results each time, but it does happen. Got some inspiration in the last week or two, and left behind some other responsibilities for a while to make this track. Did a considerable amount of multisampling of a Realistic C1000 to add to the song. This is the first song I've finished which uses my modified Korg Monotribe. Also contains Microkorg (on glitch percussion and vocoder use), Yamaha ys-200, Zoom RT-123, and my modular synth doing circuit bent voice synth duties. Psychedelic, dark cold wave. EDIT: Now that I think about it, there were no virtual synths involved in this composition, but only virtual samplers and effects. Everything else was MIDI and hardware sound source. Description : This piece is an ambient thing I'm working on. Recording the guitars, vocals and bass myself. Then programmed the electronic and acoustic drum samples. Also used a few glitch samples in the background for the drums. I also added a soprano choir section over top of me for a harmony. Really could see a standoff going down on this track, fingers twitching and whanot lol. Enjoy

Description : Hey guys, here is my attempt at making my "own sound." This is like a mix of glitch hop, chill, and chill step. I don't really know what I'm doing here bc I'm just kind of winging the entire creation of the song, so I'm hoping to get some feedback to help me figure out which direction this track is going to end up in. All three were made by the excellent MrRobot! I ended up using this track as an opportunity to try out the Parallel Killer Guitar that I finished putting together not long ago. These are amongst the first recordings of the guitar. So I guess this turned out like what I would call "hard dub" or maybe it's just dub-glitch... totally not dubstep...heh. I was going for a tape recorded feel on this one for the most part. Hope you enjoy it!

Description : Yet another lengthy psychedelic epic by me, though I'd say they're all quite different. This one has more of a focus on electronic dance music and funk but is based around programmed acoustic drums, bass guitar and electric guitar. Also Rebirth 303 loops I made over ten years ago plus various synth leads, pads, basses, arps and glitch effects. Most of the bass is bass guitar and there's even some slap bass! Fairly uptempo but also chilled out though it builds and goes pretty heavy towards the end, featuring crazy lead distorted synth soloing backed up by some pumping guitar riffs and crashing metal drum kits. I do like this but it's not as good as its sister track Lord Of Misrule https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/146013. Let me know what you think, what you'd change etc. I hope you have a fun journey through this constantly shifting sonic landscape...

Description : Felt like taking a break from vocals for a weekend, so here's my new instrumental effort. Can't say I've ever made a song quite like this, but it still sounds like Spivkurl. The variety is mostly represented in the subtleties. It was interesting for me to find the big differences in feelings of C# major when compared to the basic C major key. I can't quite figure out what genre this is, so I'm using fusion, as it has elements of electronic, chill out, ambient, and glitch to name a few. Thanks for checking it out! I personally think that it has some true potential.
Too large file + Reason = Impossible to create something. So you have to correct things, then save + export and then listen... and redo if necessary.

I fell in love with this version. It's super wierd with the drum and these electro sounds and I LOVE IT.

I still open to every opinion as long it is respectful.
