Hi Twanna, thanks for comments. I love this track, your songs are touching, personal, beautiful and your voice is amazing. Your father is a true legend and it's wonderful you are keeping him alive through your music. I also am mad about in your words "Fonk". I was in love with Michael Jackson when he was in the Jackson Five and then I heard Marvin Gaye and that was it...I've never been the same since. I remember dancing so much to Ike and Tina we had great times growing up with all that wonderful music. I got to see one of my fav bands last year Earth Wind and Fire, Philip Bailey is still incredible. I"m also a mad fan of Maxwell too gorgeous for words and Aretha Franklin, MJ Blige, Erykah Badu, etc etc,,, the list is too long. I hope you tour Australia...I"m still trying to get to the States and really want to go to New Orleans.
I hope to see you tour!!!

    Hi Twanna

Knew I was going to love this piece, right from the moment it started,it was cemented when you started your vocal, such a stunning vocal girl, so much soul and feeling in it, prob you and AJ here are the most gifted artist here, when it comes to soul music, but as I have learnt over time, you do have great variety, with your vocal what you can deliver whatever the genre is, this track is testament to that...Amazing girl...totally amazing...Peace and much respect...Mosaic formly ELSD....

Thank you so much, my dear friend. My father's passing is a great loss to me. Even with his passing, there are a lot of people, who did not really know my father, continue to pass judgement on him based on a piece of fiction. That piece of "fiction", dressed up to look like "non-fiction", cost my father his career and eventually, his life. When your entire livelihood is predicated upon your acceptance and that is destroyed, you cease to exist. This is what happened to my father. He died long before he drew his last breath. His death was not due to another type of intoxication besides that of hate. Hate, which was beyond his control. So, it consumed him and he let go in order to be in peace.

I still carry a lot of pain, but with the Lord's healing salve, I keep pressing on.

Did not mean to ramble on, but thank you so much for your appreciation.

Have a wonderful and blessed day:)

Excellent track. Kinda sound like Ike. I saw Ike shortly before he died. He put on a great show. Great entertainer and musician.

What a powerful voice you have. Sorry to read that your father has passed away. My father died in december too, but in 2006. It wasn't happy holidays for me and my close relatives.

Thank you for your condolences and I offer mine to you as well. What I have learned since my father's passing is that when our loved ones leave us here in this realm, they have just moved on to another phase of life. Just as being in the womb is one phase, being born is another, then leaving this body to go on to the next phase of living. This understanding has helped me tremendously, hope it does for your too.

    God bless.

So, at this stage of my life there isn't a lot that leaves me speechless....

but this track has done exactly that. I'm seriously at a loss for words to describe this.

So I hope my standing and giving you a few minutes of applause will suffice.

Thank you Bear for you very kind words and appreciation. Creating music has always been an outlet for me to convey where I am at that time. I love your mantra "I only have one life, so what you see is what you get." That would have been a great one for my father to live by.

    Thank you again.

Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Description : Been away for a while. I am doing something I usually don't do with this one. Here is a blues track I put together in a day. It features everything being done by me, with improvised solos for each instrument. This was done using Fl Studio 12 and my Korg M50 keyboard. I plan on adding lyrics to it down the road and having everything much cleaner. Anyhow, enjoy!

Tags : | Blues | 8.20 MB

Description : Cosmic Eastern chillout atmospheric shuffle blues with loads of bluesy/Eastern electric guitar playing and warm sub bass (the same synth patch I've used in about 20 tracks). No drum loops and just two programmed acoustic kits - probably the simplest drum setup I've ever used. One day I hope to make a track containing only one drum kit. Also: a few female vocal samples (including a heavily timestretched one), one section of bass guitar, a few sample-based string instruments, a few notes of organ and two synth pad instruments. So, quite a minimal instrument lineup for me. It goes uptempo around 4:31 into a grooving, stomping bit of shuffle blues and I wonder if I should have brought this section back at the end for a triumphant finale. But I'm trying hard these days not to make things too long and this is already a decent length. Also contains some darker, Eastern sections but nothing too dark. Have a listen and leave me some interesting feedback - the more detail, the better.

Description : Simple blues, rough mix. Composed with my friend Costa Zbinden. We will appreciate if someone would add some vocals! Sirup: guitars. Costa Zbinden: guitars and keys. Alex Richard: bass. Claude Barbotte: Hammond. With my own drum loop (here on Looperman, genre blues).
