Description : *Bit of a restructure"This is in memory of my dad who passed away recently. He was a motown nut and i grew up listening to those records. Bit of chopping, and i think its come out pretty cool. Nice old sounds. Still refining the structure a bit, as ideas come through. Not sure about the intro or outro, but i think it has some really head nodding sections in there.

Description : Something i did when i was about 15, and when i still made beats. This particular track is actually the reason i decided to get into composing at all. I had a good run with the beats and hip-hop scene, but i always had a leaning more towards composing and this, i think, is the catalyst for that revelation. This beat is 9 years old, and gives you a sense of what it was like to be a young, passionate, musically driven teen. Thank you.

Secondly, this is great. I love the beat, the samples, and I just generally love hip-hop that sounds like this....you know, soulful retro-futurism or whatever you wanna call it. My only one criticism would be that this is too long [that's what she said?] and ends up sounding repetitive. My suggestion would be to bring the chopped up bit around 4:25 to somewhere around the middle so the ears don't get totally used to the main melody, before bringing it back again. Other than that though, this is excellent work and I genuinely enjoyed this.
