Hey thanks man... from your response to yer track I hear ya on the repetitve thing. That has been the thing I'm trying to deal with and not do. It's hard to keep a beat going and not let it get to stale. Still learning my intro's, drops and breaks. I think we'll both get the hang of it soon... Hopefully...lol... I appreciate the kind words man. Lemme know when you drop another choon man. I'll come check it out!!!

Good work. The only thing I noticed was that you were off key in spots. That can be fixed easy enough though.

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Yeah still learning how to blend notes and chords together. Still learning the keys... I appreciate the crit and for the listen!!!

This is a cool vibe man, and if you say first attempt at dubsep its a successful one bro, arrangements are grade A, great transitions and sounds at play, a unique track man in its own rights, fav of the night. cheers

Reverb on the first loop/drums are nice.
Alien synth is sick. Beat seems a little too compressed.
I'm still in the progress of getting my beats sounding phat, but getting an eq on the 800-1,500Khz should phatten it up a bit. Though you might have to eq other instruments to get the sound sounding proper with the beats' new sound. Maybe up the snares volume.
The Accordian is nice, but kinda mellowed out the tune. But after it, that new beat kinda changes things up.
Give the bass a 1dB pump on the 50-70Hz freq, should give it a nice boost.
Other than that, good on yah man.
Steve
PS Have a good new year

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Steve thanks for the insightful review... I know what ya mean... I'm still learning how to master properly. I'll take you up on the suggestions and see if I get a phatter sound... But besides the mastering I'm glad you liked this one... Always learning and gettin reviews like this helps to push me to do better... I appreciate it man...

Cybertooth 29th Dec 2010 17:29 - 15 years ago

thats a really good first one, loved the dub feel. kinda miss that early dubby dubstep feel, not a whole lot of em nowadays.
i especially liked those windchimes at the end. i think my favorite part of the songs were when the drums got a little more complex, and that unexpected glitchiness about halfway through.

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Hey thanks Cyber!!! Haven't heard from ya in a while... I appreciate the review man... Yeah for my first I think it came out pretty decent... Still need work in the dubstep dept but I'll get it one of these days... You're tracks lately have been blowing me away bro.. Good deep dark industrial feel... I think the next one I do is gonna be a lil more dirtier and complex... Just got my recorder man... I promised Neologist I would send him some organic field recordings. Would you like some too?? Just let me know and I'll send them to ya. I would still like to finish a collab with you one of these days...lol... But I know we always got projects going and it's hard to find the extra time... But I'll stop blabbering now... Thanks again man...
Hope all is well wit ya...

This is a very enjoyable track! Definitely a great dubby version of dubstep! Wonderful use of obscure instruments! I like it around the 3:00 mark, with those awesome vocals and distorted sounds! Really excellent work on this song! Faved for sure!

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Spiv!!! Thanks a bunch man!!!! And thanks for fav'n it man... You know I appreciate that... Yeah I wasn't sure where to take this but the vocals and elements really gave this track some more life... Thanks again bruv!!! Big ups!!!

Electronic gothic track.
When I heard this acapella by ALAA EZZEDDINE I was really impressed. Ok, did lots of tweaking to make it sound properly and fit in the track. Actually his lyrics described what I have had gone through...
Enjoy and take care :) :) :)
