Description : Cherish the moments you have.
Starting a new style here for myself. This is beginning of Project 7. Meaning my 7th project or concept I've kind of done for myself, depicting different styles, genres, and sounds. I wanted this to represent something of the seasons. This one particularly had feel of autumn.

Feel free to comment. There is more to come and I hope you enjoy each of them.

Man I love the bass line on this. The guitar is a little harsh agaisnt such a nice flowing bassline, but thats an easy tweak on the master EQ high side... and that would bring the cymbals down a little too. Great song though! As guitarists and Rockers I think we share the same problem... My hearing is totally SHOT! So I tend to EQ on the high side. Do your thing though, cause its working!
EDIT: NO Dude...I love this! It's very creative... you just need to tweak the EQ In my opinion...which is nothing. Be proud of this one man... It's really good! And for the record, I'm a hack guitar player myself. =7) It's not how well you play, but how well you sound.

I see its pretty unanimous that I messed up the lead a little, but I'll try and to do better next time. I can't really play guitar, so I try my best on the comp.

hey this sounds super, the intro is a lil bit oppressive, but as soon as the back melody kicks in, it takes on a whole different turn - a complete driftaway, it really gets through to me, enjoying the music experience. It can be tweaked and stuff but its a great start. I'd also recommend slightly more variation in the lead, perhaps playing with tempo a bit- on top of the drums. 2.58-sounds awesome. Then the overflow right after that is nice, but can be a bit clearer, perhaps layered with some high tones or pitched accents. Really cool part around 3.35, after which it gets pretty neat all together. I hope this helps in any way, its just my look on it, thanks for sharing your work, peace.

Thanks for review and listening. I was a little skeptical at first with the intro, but I just went with what I thought worked best for me. I also should have had a little more variation in the lead as well. Good ear.

G'day mate

Nice rock piece for sure, I am listening on lap top but guitar sounds little distorted, so cannot say if it is or not completely, that was the first thing that came to me, when it started, everything elses is very clear???
It does have a certain feel about it for sure, I think the way you have have arranged track it does give that warmth sort of feeling :-)
In saying that to it has a relaxing calm type of feel, something you dont always feel in a rock track, so that is a very nice touch. tis is a nice track my friend, like I said not completely sure about the distortion part, could just be the laptop..great work...look forward to see what the rest of the series you are hoping to do in the future, thank you...Peace n Respect matey...Estefano...

Thanks mate. I think it does sound a little distorted at first. Also try listening with headphones, it may sound better. Thanks again for listening.

I couldn't really get the autumn feeling right away, but after a bit it was lik "okay, I get it". I was too busy admiring the guitar work (love that sound you produced and how it does lend to the atmosphere of autumn) to see the cencept in the beginning.

I look forward to more

Thanks. With the help of a virtual guitar I'm ok. I just imagine what I could do if I actually played a real guitar.

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.

Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.

Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).

Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
