Description : This is me scratching on the turntables. Yes turntables. That old device once used by many. I noticed people had been talking about scratches lately, and I had planned on making some loops in the future... This a beat I looped and added some acapellas here and there. I haven't scratched since 14 months ago so be gentle, I am 64 years old. It is 192 kb unfortunately to fit. hope it sounds ok. I hope u enjoy it. I had fun doin it again. This is a battle style scratch. May do some more chill scratches in future. Talk to me.....djquickrick

Theres nothing wrong with MP3 scratching...its really caught up to vinyl! People are actually scratchin on casettes these days, but nothing beats Qbert on vinyl in my eyes! Great job!If ya get a chance check out my scratching track Slim Slacker. I used an Axiom 25 midi controller to do my scratching!

Thanks for listening. I agree about Qbert. He is king. MP3 sxcratching is a great tool as well. It sure saves money! I use software for that too. It really opens doors for extra creativity. But for ultimate control, nothing beats turntables. Even Qbert acknowledges that. Thanks again.

Yea man I know what you mean about them turntables... They're becoming almost obsolete. It's a damn shame... Now all dj's got cd mixers. It's just not the same... Glad you keepin it real bro... You should definitely create some scratch loops man... you got some dope skillz. Yo, you and I let's keep the old skool alive:) I bet you get all the hot GILF'S...lol... Keep it up man(no pun intended)lol... Dancing and music is like the fountain of youth. Fave'd as well...

Yeah, djing in the mainstream is a lot different. Most/alot of dj's don't/can't fathom using what they play their music with as an instrument. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the new equipment, too. Pioneer has some great cdj's. Having dj software is a weapon in itself. When ya put it all together though, Boo-YA!! ;) I love songs that sound like a blending of the old and new, too. Sometimes I feel the rhythm has been lost. I love the primal side of music. Thank you for the FAV and for the review. peace :)

Vinyl? What the hell is vinyl? It's that sound that cdj's mimic horribly! I was gonna buy a Serato set up once. Heard it and bounced out of that mess. I wanted to dabble with being a dj since I was little. It was because of the movie Juice. Tupac, Omar Epps flick that has a Dj battle in it. Looked way more technical than plucking strings on a guitar. Back to the track. Was waiting to hear some of your Dj work man. Not disappointed at all. I miss the sound alot. Gravy needs mash potatoes, Hip Hop needs Dj's. Cheers :D

The best thing about vinyl, other than it's rich warm sound, is it's no latency. It's a pure extension between your mind, soul, hands, and equipment. Juice is still a classic. When I first saw it, I was like man he can really scratch! Then years later when I saw it again, I realized it was edited in. haha I was heart broken and proud at the same time...You know I have some old dj partners who play guitar and swear it's a whole lot like scratching. I can hear it sometimes. Well, thanks so much for your review. i'm glad U had a chance to hear it, i was hopin u would.. hummm, graaavy. peace my friend :)

on the off chance that i decided to listen to a hip hop track, i was rewarded. hehe, this is crazy man, the things behind the scratching are a bit repetitive but its a pretty cool sound. from the sounds your getting i can tell youd be a good glitcher if you care at all for the genre.

from an outsider to the genre- CT

Glad to see openmindedness. That's one of the most fun parts of this sorta thing, I feel! I appreciate your taking the time to review as well. Very kind. I have, actually started to gain some interest in some glitchy, ('that a word?lol)sounds lately for possibly the same reason you brought it up. hum, you got me thinkin now... :) Hey, thanks again Cybertooth :) (ps. i'll have to drop in with your's as an outsider, too.)

Is it? my bad if so. I didn't have time to burn a copy on my way out the door. I had to do it quietly here at the Senior Center on headphones, sonny. I DO actually use real live TurnTables with Vinyl records. I also, (but not for this one) use Torq timecoded vinyl and software while djing.or whatever they use, too. I do plan on touching things up on it. If u'd like, I can send U a 320kb quality copy. Humbly appreciate your review. :)
