Mate this is so crystal clear, stunning, great intro to this baby, good piano, nice to hear, what can I say that others haven't not much, except I totally agree 100% one stunning bit of work, truely professional...fav'd...Estefano...
Wow E...I'm only a month late in replying, please forgive me my friend.I do appreciate your comments,I hope you know that but some reviews slip by me sometime..December and the first of this year has been very time consuming, many changes.
9R has a special quality to his music and we did click very well I think.By the way,He and I are working on something new..it's been a long time coming,it will be a couple of weeks and of course it will be like this...a rock blend.
Thanks again Estefano.
Thanks John.9Rhiter was the first real collab that I did here and we didn't know what we were doing but you tend to figure it out, seems there's no right or wrong way, whatever works.
Just like guitar tone,I saw an interview with Eric Clapton one time and they were asking for the holy secret to his sound and he just smiled and said.."I turn the knobs until I like what I hear"..I have always loved that :)
Thanks again John!
Drive alonmg like a fast freight train. The sound is impulsive, cinematical, soundtrack feel. I love how you haven't overdone the guitar. Just enough to compliment the track and accompany the piano. It takes a keen ear to pull that off in spades...indeed you guys did. Great collab. - Bilbozo
Hey Bil.I got lucky here,9Rihter had this eq sound that matched up pretty well to my guitar. He had everything but guitar mixed and finished, just wanted to try guitars so that was the challenge. He sent me the mp3 and I had to layer around what he had done and couldn't mess with his individual levels so in a way it forced me to play it safe so I learned from this song and try to take that with me.one review wanted louder guitar but when I tried it just covered the piano and would ruin it,so big lesson learned...Don't sacrifice the song for guitars because in the end it's all about the song,
and I know you know this as you choose to complement your own songs as well...if we didn't we could just do a 4min solo...hmm..
maybe a loop of Eruption:)
thanks bil

This review is gonna be short, because I just typed it up once and I don't fancy typing it all again. Everything seems to flow really well, and the electric guitar and piano worked really well.
Sorry for the briefness, but I gotta move on to some other tracks I said I'd review and I really have to do it now.
Friend its has been two weeks since we made this collab!
Not a day passes without at least a couple of times I listen to this track!
Really addicted to listen to, and I love to listen!
We made Epic collab,no doubt:)!
Perfect man, to my ear anyway I wouldn't change a thing. I tend to like the piano alot though. In my opinion this will be a hit with the vocals done. Very crystal clear.
Take Care
Gord
Thank you Gordon,Maybe we can find someone for vocals.I really like 9Rhiters piano also and I don't play keys so it's nice that we can work together,Like I tell my grandaughter...play nice and always share.
Nice Allen, You and 9Rihter work well together. LOving the piano and killing that electric. That's how we do it in Plant City..lol...You definitely need to find someone to sing over this one...Production work and skills are spot on. You guys should do more collabs...great work guys, keep em coming...Blume :)
Thanks Blume,He and I seem to have the same eq thing goin'on at the time...helped a lot.I tried playing around town a bit but it doesn't work...good musicians in PC just nowhere to play and I aint drivin to Tampa so i'm happy on this site and nobody's asked me to play Freebird here...yet...maybe a remix:)
Still lookin for work...

I personally am also a fan of 9Rihter's work so i have to say excellent job on this song to both you and him. The piano and guitar compliment each other allowing for an excellent songe to emerge. Excellent guitar soloing as well.
Just awesome and I have to agree with NickQ, you're definately one of the best guitar players on this site.
If I could make a suggestion:, let Jim Tacatta in on this project – with his voice you would probably push me into orbit.
And if you'd like to keep it as it is, it's a great track anyway. Excellent work.
Thank you my friend, your complement means a lot and I'm very humbled by your remarks. If I must reply it would be that I have never said no to any style of music over the 36yrs i've played, regardless of my preferences and if you consider music as a gift then I feel blessed.Vocals would be great and I do like Jim's classic style.Oh yea,Cochise is a great song isn't it!
This is really a great track man, really impressed with both the guitar and piano!I also liked the way you guys closed out the song.I do have to agree that maybe the guitar could be just a little more prominent, but I'm no expert and I'm sure you just didn't wanna put out front too much.Great guitar playing!
Thanks Tacatta!9Rihter gets all credit for piano and everything but guitars.I did try raising the guitar after we posted and it just didn't work,it became a different song. The leads have a ton of delay that I can't take off now,my bad...lesson learned...and when you turn them up it sounds way too busy for this song.I almost didn't play any lead at all, just thickened it up,the piano melody from 9Rihter was so nice.when I got his track it was like Wow,how can I play with this and not change a thing! The short reply is your right,I didn't wanna put too much out front and I am not gonna sacrifice the song for my guitar.
Thanks again for listening and you should be doin'some more rockin'tracks...I wanna play guitar on Kashmir and i'm callin' it first!
Very nice sounding song here. I like the piano backing part. The lead playing seems too far into the background to me. It was nice but needs to shine thru more as your playing sounded very good.
Nice jumpy tune and I enjoyed it.
Randy
Hey Randy, thanks!I'm glad you mentioned the guitar level,I really wasn't sure myself so I appreciate your ear.It really is a delicate thing to do and I fought with it.9Rihter has some great songs and an appreciation for guitar so I was happy do do this with him.
Nice crisp production, guitars and keys on this! Quite commercial sounding (in a good way) Seems to be screaming out for vocals to complete it! Nice job guys.
Thanks Jamie! Now that you mentioned it,vocals wouldn't be bad.9Rhiter had this produced well from the getgo I think, and it took a while for me to even hear past his moving intro!I did want to say that even before this I noticed his sound seemed to mirror what I've been getting from my guitar equipment lately and that helped a lot since he mixed his parts and I did mine, there wasn't a big contrast. It was kinda like we had a third member of the team.
Really enjoyed the track Allen, love the way the intro was done with the voice tracks and thunder!nice smooth guitar rythum guitar tracks with a guitar lead that I would swear it was Gorge Lynch of Donken playing ! nice work! The only thing I noticed that stuck out was the mid section of the tune was a bit long, maybe two to four measures or so,but other wise, rockin song guy!
with a kool concept!
Hey BM thanks for the review.Sometimes it's hard for me to measure part lengths when i'm smack dab in the middle of it and that's one thing these reviews are good for cause there's always gonna be a next time and you made the Lynch comment first anyway so i'm good. That awesome intro came from 9Rihter when I got his track and I must say"He had me from intro"...I couldn't resist:)

Description : This is my newest creation, at a stage very near to completion. No third-party mastering or mixing, as with all my tracks. Just have to fix a few tiny things. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO MIX EVERYTHING IN THE SAME SESSION. This song has all human-played instruments - no quantization or MIDI! My brother does all the vocals except for the interlude part, which I do. My other brother plays the rhythm guitar (a Gibson Les Paul Custom - only one of 12 in the world!!) and I play the accompanying guitar (a Johnny Mar Jag and PRS). He has a lot of guitars :P A good friend of ours, Ronnie, plays the bass and another friend, Freddie, plays the drums. The drum track was done in one take (had to use an electric drum set due to time constraints - but acoustic kits are so much better). Overall, pretty satisfied with the result. Let me know your thoughts.
Description : Feel free to check out the lyrics video on YT as well :) This is a new track based on the great vocals by Ashes and Dreams! Again, a mix of electronic/progressive/rock, any feedback is welcome
Description : The first track I sing on. Cheap stage mic & no fancy plugins. Heavily guitar laden to the point it's got a bit of a shoegaze thing going on. I pulled the lyrics out of my ass & yes, they're a bit silly.
Description : This song was not supposed to be the fourth track of "Diverse waves", but it finally is. Anyway it's a rock oriented track with some interesting sounds. I hope you like it. Worked in zenbeats DAW, by Roland.
Description : BIG UPDATE 26/02/2014 - So, this was an 18 min track that I have now successfully split in two. 2nd half I uploaded a few weeks ago (Things That Should Always Be, with the bouncy 2 min reggae intro). This is the first half, which has a new mix, a mega chill, meditative ending and a little jazz thrown in for good measure. Takes a few minutes for beat to really kick in. Constantly evolving electric guitar, bass guitar, acoustic drums and lead banjo driven by fat, busy 80BPM grooves with a bit of a reggae and shuffle feel. Also: synth choir voices, dulcimer, violin, cello, shimmering pads. Builds up gradually to nice and rocking and then gets taken back down for the big comedown chill. I really don't know what sort of genre this is except 'far out'. I think it sounds more like a live band than one guy playing instruments and manipulating a DAW. Not my best track but a bit of blissful, sunny island fun. Real positive vibe here so I hope you give it a chance to unfold and unfurl. Sit back, clear your schedule and immerse yourself in these trippy sonic experiments cooked up deep in my off-planet underground laboratory. I have to send the MP3 to Earth via space courier (not cheap).
Description : This track was like the inhale after an exhale of aggressive industrial-electro-sludge tracks that I had put out that summer and fall. This was the more reserved, and introspective winter track. It's nothing spectacular, but I still really enjoy it. I hope you do too. Take care. V.
