Blume this is crazy! The one thing about reggae is the bass line flow, the guitar in the downbeats, the snappy drums... and you got it all in there and then some! This is really crazy, but really good. Reminds me of the way "Rage Against the Machine" started out with a hard mix of styles.

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Hey thanks man!!! I appreciate the kind words brutha... I'm glad you enjoyed this one... You comparing it to the beginnings of Rage against the machine is a hell of a compliment man... Wow!!! thanks again for stoppin by to have a listen... I'll have to swing by and check some of your new stuff!!!

You never cease to amaze me. I'm not really that into jungle music, but I'm really into this track. My favorite part was the rewind into a whole new beat basically. Keep it up Rob.

this is the first time iv listend to the jungle genre ssince i joined the site... iv been missing out lol this sounds like some heavey regge mixed with dnb i love this kind of music the pella is great and the drums are cool the synths are trippy i love them and all the mad fx in there great arrangement and good quality :D

SGN 1st Jul 2010 11:27 - 16 years ago

The intro is perfect. Got my usually stationary head nodding. If you hadn't categorized this as "Jungle" I would've assumed the entire track was a dub/reggae one. But then at around 2:00 when the bass drops, it transforms into the genre you've listed. The transition was seamless and organic to me. Also it lead to me nodding my head at a much higher pace. Fortunately no one was around to see how ridiculous I looked. This is good stuff.

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Dope...Appreciate the kind words my friend...Thanks I wanted to start off more ragga then drop the ruff stuff later in the track so it's just not all Amens...get a couple different drums going and what not, give it some flavor...I'm glad it got your head nodding...that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside :).lol..Blume :)

Starlynx 22nd Jun 2010 17:57 - 16 years ago

Definately not yer old skool Bob Marley!!! I can get into the beat of this one! I'm not too familiar with Jungle, but it feels like Psychedelic Reggae,,,It feels GOOD,,,Pass da spliff mon!! StarLynx,,,,PS TY 4 yer review on Dark Strider!!

BlumeChoon replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Yeah I know what you mean..JUngle music has evolved since the late 80's. It was originated in the U.k. and made it to the states in early 90's. It does have a psychadelic (Rave) feel to it. There are a lot of different sub genres of DnB/Jungle. Thanks for the review and pass the ducci pon da left hand side...LOL...Blume :)
