Listen To Bottled Up Fusion Song By Anomelie At Looperman.com

Description : Vocal is from an mp3 of RedKn1ght reading a poem he wrote for me about a bottle of rainwater. Kind of like a rainstorm itself, this one starts off with soft drops, builds to a heavier downpour, peaks with some lightening streaks, hangs out for a while, then slowly fades away, leaving you clean and refreshed. :)

I love tracks that bring together sounds I wouldn't dream of putting together and hearing those sounds make something wonderful.

Such as this piece

Your mixing sounds fantastic. Sparse tracks always sound empty when I try to do them.

The change to industrial drums at the halfway point was a little jarring. I really liked the detuned thing that came afterward, although it changes notes a bit too often for my tastes; It sort of jumps around a lot when it's introduced. I like the way it's used toward the end of the song.

The rain out ending is great.

Hey, I just realized I never responded to your kind review! Thanks! I definitely do like to mix unexpected genres. I think it can take people by surprise initially, but I like the texture it creates. Thanks for your feedback on that!

I searched long & hard to find the right rain sounds, so I appreciate your comment on that too! Looking forward to checking out some of your tracks...

I really need to get a better mic set up. Still, its cool hearing what you did and where you went with a little poetry reading.
I should send you some clips of my reading from The Velveteen Rabbit and see where you go with that.

I consider this piece FINISHED, but I may revisit the rain poem and use other parts of it. It seems a shame to use only the title. But I would be happy to also have some Velveteen Rabbit clips! That story freaked me out as a kid. Share away! I still have plans for that piano piece you sent me, too. I look forward to some cool collaborations w/you.

I figured I would review a song about rain as you reviewed my song Rain. This is a cool song, I like how it subtly builds from simple beginnings! Maybe you could add a few more passages from the poem. Liked the drums, they sound great. dl and fav, thanks!

Hmm. I do still have the workable copy of this. Maybe sometime I will go back and play with it again. More passages from the poem might be nice. Though I like the ambiguity of having just those two words. If I open this up again to tinker, I will keep your suggestion in mind and see what happens! Thanks!

Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^

Description : Now also on Apple music!! Please please check the link in my profile and give it a play! (Spotify to follow soon). And if you do that, let me know if I can repay the favour!
================

The song feels to me a bit like it could be on stage in a musical. It's a bit theatrical... I like it, but the next one might well be a rock song ;)

All instruments & vocals recorded live at home, without samples.

Description : Hello, everyone!
This one is a bit special because it's not one of my loops, it's jdmax121's loop " Dreamy ".
I loved it so much that I had to make something out of it. It will probably end up being on my upcoming EP.
If you liked it, or not, please let me know!
Have a nice day.
Ps: Here's the link to the loop https://www.looperman.com/loops/detail/97021/jdmax-dreamy-by-jdmax121-free-100bpm-chill-out-electric-guitar-loop

Description : Psychedelic Eastern cellhop progressing into a heavy and not at all hip hop ending. Lots of cool basslines and killer beats, all at 80 BPM. Cello is the main instrument and it also covers all the bass parts (no other bass instruments used). I didn't have to add any octave lowering effects to those cello basslines. A few synths, including a dark, trippy pad that gets very psychedelic and swirling when delay and distortion are added. Also a lyre to occasionally add an Eastern drone sound and an 8bit lead sine synth in one section. Drums are mixture of programmed acoustic kits and drum loops. You can really bounce to this shit while firing your guns in the air. So, do that and then come back and let me know if you enjoyed it. Criticism, praise, suggestions etc all welcome. Now get ready to bounce...

Description : Return To Forever was a group that started my love of fusion jazz and this is my attempt to cover their 1976 track, “The Romantic Warrior. I know I wore out several inceptions of this album from LP, cassette and 8 track. The original track was over 10 minutes long, so I abridged it some. Hope you like and download.
