Description : [High quality DL available on my SoundCloud account] I see this as a long sequence where struggle is overcome by hope, and finally there's redemption. This is my humble attempt at highlighting my appreciation of piano and various string instruments in an attempt at captivating the essence of this beautiful genre. Many thanks to The Fam for some of the loops used - I deleted user identifiers without realizing impact so haven't been able to keep up and give individual credits.

The advantage of using good loops in some compositions, is that you can transform, arrange, almost all the "gravy".
Here, it is true that integration into your interpretation is quite different from mine. You gave him a "life" differently, and I appreciate what you did.

I really really like this. It did accomplish your vision. The combination of the piano and strings and their interaction throughout was simply brilliant. Great use of percussion, not too much, just right.

This one shows a real ability to compose and arrange in a difficult genre. I also loved the dynamics in this. Just a really well done piece. You should be proud, it was captivating.

This is a really nice piece of music.Excellent sounds and textures.I think you got what you were looking for.If you will induldge the producer in me, a couple of alternative approaches come to mind.Whilst listening to the track ,I felt the sense of a build up that didn't really come.I thought it was going to explode into a strong beat and rhythm after about the 2.00-2.30 min mark.Possibly condensing the track may add to its impact.Enjoyed the mad, dancing strings at the end.All in all,a highly enjoyable track, that could be even more awesome. Thanks and sorry about the longwinded review...peace and goodwill mate.

Long winded reviews are great, so thanks for spending time doing that. Glad you enjoyed the piece and appreciate the feedback. You've given me the inspiration to take another shot, perhaps take the main jist of the track and spin in into more hip hop mellow instrumental, shortened, etc... perhaps a project for the new year. Take care. - DF

Well done D! This was great, the length was perfect and there were nice changes through the whole song. This is a tough genre and you did a nice job. The description put me in the right frame of mind to listen to this and get into it! Very cool!

Sounds like a winner if you can give it thumbs up, much respect theHumps! I really enjoyed putting it together and go back every now and then to tweak... wish I knew the feature how look up loop creators before I renamed them and lost the sources, I consider this a Looperman collaboration for this reason. Take care - DF

This is huuuge! :) an inspirating. ;)

and a damn good arrangement. it feels like waves up and down without beeing brash. except the part from 4.50. this is amazing!

i really enjoyed it, it's also faved! ;)

but one thing: sometimes the cymbals have an very high and annoying frequence... but this doesn't really matters.

    wow...very pretty...
what youve got here is a beautiful cinematic piece that a hip hop producer would take, lay a hard hitting beat, sung lyrics/hook and/or a sick spit on top and immediate have in his or her possession a top 40 hit. the composition is compelling and commendable. very dramatic...it pulls you right in from note one and doesnt let go until the last timpany drops. Great use and amount of accents thruout. really enjoyed this piece.
    amazing work!

Very ambient and cinematic, Well put together the only thing I could suggest is to change up the piano loops during the solo piano parts it might be good for a bit of extra drama. `EEEville

Description : This track is the first two sections of what will (hopefully) be a three-part piece essentially a suite. I am posting parts 1 and 2 because I think they are ready for feedback from Looperman members. Part 3 isnt done yet because it requires Human League style vocals from a singer with a distinct British accent. I have the melody and lyrics worked out. I sent a private message a while ago to a Looperman member who I think has the right voice for the job. But, havent had a response. Until I find a vocalist for it, I cant finish the piece. In any case, the total file size of the complete piece would be greater than the Looperman limit, so it will have to be split into parts anyway.

Parts 1 and 2, in fact the whole thing, were inspired by acapellas posted here on Looperman by Jacques Demers:

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6105/love-love-love-ououou-by-jacquesdemers-130bpm-dance-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6093/dont-keep-back-2-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/6091/dont-keep-your-love-away-from-me-by-jacquesdemers-107bpm-hip-hop-acapella

If you havent checked out Jacques tracks yet, you really should. He doesnt set them up as featured so it might be easy to miss them.

The harmony in Jacques acapellas sounded very Beatle-ish to me, and that made me want to try my hand at doing a George Martin style treatment. I remembered that ScottsCovers here on Looperman had mentioned an instrument called a Mellotron, which was used by the Beatles, the Moody Blues, Genesis, along with other groups of that era, so I decided to use a VST mellotron as the primary instrument for Parts 1 and 2.

The acapella in Part 2 was in a different key than the one used for Part 1, so I needed to find a chord progression in Part 1 that would modulate the key. Jacques gave me some advice on that, which you can see in the comments on his first acapella.

Part 1 has harp, mellotron flutes, clarinet, french horns, and my attempt at a Penny Lane type trumpet solo (but much simpler). Part 2 has a string ensemble, solo oboe and trumpet in unison, and some Daniel Langois type processed guitars. Both parts were recorded at 60 bpm, largely because thats where the acapellas seemed to sync best. However, I played the instrument tracks freestyle (rubato), so the tempo actually varies somewhat. Definitely not quantized!

There is a storyline behind this track. Part 1 is the blooming stage of a relationship. Part 2 is about the relationship in decline. Part 3, with vocals, will be about ending it.

Ive included the transition to Part 3 (which will be a more traditional synth pop section) and just a bit of the first verse backing instrumental so you can get an idea of how things are headed in the final part.

This songs is like a normal day in my life... as my brain point of view. The first part is the morning with strings, horns, clarinette and flute. It's a joyful and beautiful day ! Then, there's a sort of "bridge" between the morning part and the afternoon. Afternoon is awesome and chaotic at the same time, that's why I added dubstep in the middle of the song. Finally, the evening and the night are the second bridge and the end of this piece.

It's the first song I mix Orchestral and Dubstep.
Whole s music maker Jam with Movie Score 1/2/3 and Dubstep (i think it's Vol.2) loops.
Mix = Music Maker (Soundtrack Edition)
Final details = Music Studio

It's a Raw Mix because I really like this song and I want to make a better version ONLY with Music Maker Jam (without mix or whatever, execept for the sound quality).

Description : I created this track for the love I have for puppies. I love them. Everybody does. This day I went to this park nearby my colony and saw couple of them and thought of making something musically. So this is what i came up with. This time I haven't played much with FX or Technical aspects. Just pure simple & soft melodies. As it is unmixed & unfinished track, request you to boost the volume a little. Hope you all like it! Cheers! :)

Description : So, Ive been working on a new track. After my last song The Moments That Take Your Breath Away, I was filled with a sense of overwhelming pressure to live up to, and even exceed the expectations I held myself to. This led to a pretty bad creative block Im slowly but surely working myself out of. That is what this song is going to be about: me coming to terms with my own expectations and breaking free from my creative block.

The song itself is still very rough. I used an orchestral soundfont (big thanks to @GregVincey for pointing me in that direction) for the intro to give it an epic feel. For the most part, its going to be cinematic, telling a story. I imagine it dropping into experimental future bass; something different. Ill also be looking forward to having a singer with a strong voice to really nail the intensity and emotion, but Id rather finish the track first before going down that route.

Im looking forward to some constructive criticism.

*Please note: This is only a preview of the song, because its really not done yet. Ive had many variations of how this song should be like, but none I was particularly proud of. Theres more info in the description about the meaning behind the track and info on the track itself*
