Listen To The Sum Of A Body Industrial Song By RayKoefoed At Looperman.com

22nd Jan 2010 22:39 - 15 years ago
Description : Here is a song I made last year for one of my machinima videos. It is probably my favorite song I have done so far, but the least popular of my videos. I kind of over did it with the filters on my vocals, but I wasn't comfortable singing at the time. I hope you will enjoy it.

I'm not into the industrial music, but after I listened to this track....maybe I should check more out. Great job, and keep it up.

Hi my friend. This is an awesome track, you remind me of an angry Gary Numan (an electronic icon of mine).

Very nicely arranged and produced, a really good tune that got me hooked. I don't know if your vocals were too heavily filtered? I think that's up for debate, because it made the track all the more different for me. Totally enjoyed it! Great work!

I can't believe I haven't listened to this one yet. Especially given that I used the pella in one of my tracks.

Really like what you've done here. Great track :-)

Keep the hits coming

Love the synth bass sound you used man. Great effects on your vocals man. Love the lyrics. Without sounding gay, you have a beautiful voice man. Seriously. Best singing I've heard on this site so far. Great job, I'm very impressed ;)

Thanks a lot Crypt. I think Brutal Dance or Generation of Disorder might be more to your liking then this is, though still lacking that great electro-industrial sound that I love, like you create, which is by far my very favorite type of music. If you ever want to try to collaborate on one of your songs, perhaps I could do some vocals for some chorus lyrics of yours or something, I would certainly be willing to give it a try. Just let me know. If not, that is completely cool too. I wish you the best of luck with your art.

You've got a good sound man, looking forward to hearing your style a little further down the line when It's more refined. You've got something, no doubt about that.

Thanks very much Meccano. I know I have a ways to go, learning the whole music thing. This is one of the most important messages that I have tried to convey so far. I am glad you found it. I hope to take this idea further, with more experience in the future.

aside from the filter, it really reminded me of Marilyn Manson at first, then when you hit the higher notes, it kinda reminded me of another artist that used effects on their voice. but really this is a really great song, im digging the beat, the vibes, and the vocals are tight. great track, excellent job, and i hope to hear more in the near future

much respect - Fayz

Thanks very much Fayz. Marilyn Manson has been an influence on me, so it is cool that you would even mention him. I am trying to work on using less filters as I become more comfortable with recording vocals, so hopefully I won't be as dependent on the effects in the future. Thanks for taking the time to review.

lol, I just did another version of this and did not listen to the original before doing it, mine has that great vibe you have here, your version is stunning, full of emotion, great job but your vocals are the star for sure, I wont tell you about my version that only I think I preserved the mood you had when you did this. Can't wait to hear from you so I can send you my version and get your feedback.

Yo that video was cool as hell. I like music like this. what was that in the sky at the end of the video.? Where can i get software like that Damn!!!
RayKoefoed
RayKoefoed replied Unknown
Thanks Danothing. I am not sure what you are talking about, that in the sky, you mean the very end when the camera is moving through the scene, that light is the sun behind the clouds. I am guessing that is what you mean. The software was the game Half-Life 2 (the orange box), Garry's Mod, and a free SDK program that you can download off of Steam once Half-Life 2 is installed. I hope this helps. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Frenchkid, that is a very nice comment. I have always enjoyed the kinds of bands you mention, so I am glad to know some of that influence shows a little.

great song, a little filter heavy, but other than that awesome industrial song.....Gary Numanish

I agree that it had way to much filtering on the vocals. As I get more comfortable doing the vocals, I am starting to use less.
Thanks for the review

Description : My grandmother was from Belarus. She was the lone survivor of her family after the Waffen SS massacred everyone in her village during a retreat from the Red Army. She escaped soviet occupied Belarus & through a series of wranglings by the international red cross, found a family to adopt her in New Jersey in 1947. She was 14 years old then. She was the strongest person I ever knew & I miss her terribly. This song is for her.

Description : Not really 'industrial' although some aspects might fit with the genre...generally robots and stuff...hehe...and a hint of heavy metal is also there...:)

Description : I used Serum and Sylenth1 to create all the synths and basslines. It's not dubstep, and it's not Drum and Bass, but it's elements are heavily drawn from both to create an experimental industrial track in it's own class. It's heavy, aggressive, and driving. Either you will like it, or you won't. I don't think there will be an in-between. Take care. V.

Description : Dutch version of VTNights - Dancing with Floyd
Selected the same genre, Industrial.

The beat is the original track minus the vocals. Translated the original lyrics (German --> Dutch) and tried to make the result rhyme. As I couldn't recreate VTNights voice I created a 8 voice choir.

Enjoy.

Description : This song I started about 5-7 yrs ago with the opening guitar. I was recording a home produced LP with a friend and I was hoping to write some lyrics and record it at the time, but it sat on the sidelines for various reasons. The last 2-3 yrs yrs I've been chipping away at it.

Description : Some more old industrial recorded in 2015 as a new remaster from today. The original title is "Tanzt du alleine" and tells the story of people dancing next to each other but feeling isolated. They should take their hands to get back connected. I found this great bass loop from Difourks and I took a bit from Steelyvibe here from Looperman to pimp it up a bit. Maybe you heard the guitar riff at the beginning before. Enjoy

Description : For those of you who haven't grabbed my new album "Labrynth Of Self" I'm putting up another one from it. This is the only thing on the album that I'd really call industrial, and it comes closest to my goal of creating something that Ohgr might do on one of his albums. It contains some very weird sounds that I don't specifically remember creating. Don't be shy with your critique, it's not the sort of music everyone likes. Thanks for listening friends!
