Love the experimental edge on this! Super clean work, man!

Hey Thanks for the listen. I noticed the nuanced moves you made on The Old Forges, created a little more space and air. Perfecto. I'm also liking the writing you do. Lines of complementary and adjunctive sentiment seal a devout consummation of crafts.

Delightfully somewhere between electro-pop and something beautifully experimental. Loved the atmosphere and the overall bounce of the track. Really good job...
Take care peace

Hey thanks. This is my state of mind mostly but instead of electro-pop insert Abba, Gabba and Beethoven's 3rd (in sentiment only.. not skills) I struggle with the mastering and wonder why I should change what I liked as a mix (the loudness war is over but the window has shifted) I used a stack I found on youtube but I might go full Glenn White an say fuggit you wanna hear it, turn it up. I have an unsubstantiated theory that amps prefer to be pushed harder and create more dynamic range in this way.

Hey Sounders, really loving what you did with the vox. The instrumental sits nicely with the tone too, sounds really clean and crisp. Nice work!

sounders replied 23rd Sep 2026 - 1 month ago

A lot of the vocal processing was done by DJOCTX which really brought the track along. This is something that you're good at also and I was gonna ask on the next one of yours I do how you do this. Thanks for the listen and the compliments and wishing wellness and looking forward to all your music and vocals you share.

Absolutely delightful, somewhere in between weird and electro pop - love the pendulum/clock impressions going through the start.

sounders replied 21st Sep 2026 - 1 month ago

Hey thanks. The intro was nominally inspired by a Japanese animation about an old man and a broom, I think, I forget however it had the sweetest neatest temporal type lick at the start I've never been able to get out of my head. Thanks for the listen and praise.

Description : I'm gonna file this under Drum and Bass due to the beats I used. Though it's probably not DnB in the strictest sense of the word, as it starts off with a Cinematic vibe till the beats kick in (apologies for that, as I don't have a vast knowledge of DnB!). Apart from the beats and a couple of other loops, all synth/bass parts are played by me using ThornCM, Poly Max and Z3ta+ vst's. Let me know what you think? All feedback is always appreciated. Thanks.

Description : Technology is a great thing. But I'm glad to know that if it ever fails ... or simply isn't there ... I can always play my guitar or drums, or just sing. In any case, the power didn't go out during this production ... so it's electric. And eclectic.

Description : Atmospheric, late-night UK garage and liquid drum & bass blending deep rolling basslines, shuffled breakbeats, intimate breathy female vocals and rhythmic DJ turntablism. Chopped vocal samples and hypnotic hooks.
