Description : We want to cinematically drag you into a city where "when the Lights Burns", hide violence, desire, and broken souls wandering through smoke-filled streets. Urban Stories unfolds like a dark neo-noir film, revealing the hidden pulse of the night - a world of buried secrets, fading dreams, and people trying to survive their own darkness before the city swallows them whole. Listen to it for the last 3 days, wonderful production. Guitar tones works with that 80's stadium drums. Beautiful structures and you kept it dynamic. Lyrics goes well, mythical and you let it breath, sometimes less is more. This a good case. The tone and quality in vox is superb, flawless transition in different styles from spoken , to ballad, to hootin, and then classic rock screams, someone done his homework. Emotional delievery af, with a sprinkle of testosterone. Put this bad boy in an arena and city will burn. This is almost perfect, theres this section when female vox comes in. Maybe cut it a bit and really drag every sylibal in right place, it's annoying I know. Results will be great.
Synth work is tastefull and never to much, love it. But what happend 6 sommers ago. Mystery mystery. When does album come out. For what I'm hearing I can imagine a full blown album with one theme and I want to listen to it.
By the way, how did you encountered me? Im a Ghost.

Yo! This track is everything I love, it really pulls you into the heart of a dark, dangerous city and the lyrics, vocals, beat and guitar all combine beautifully to give it a wonderfully disturbing sense of place and atmosphere. If Tom Waits did metal music, it would sound like this.

The only thing I would mention is that the title should probably be When the Light Burns, not Lights. I also noticed a few minor issues in the lyrical transcription, but those are less important.

This is such a great track and brings such dark emotions into the light. I love it! Thank you for sharing!

Good morning. Thank you very much for your careful listening and for the time you devoted to us. Indeed, the correction is correct, and if you could also let me know whether there is anything else that we should perhaps correct (if it is practically necessary) in the lyrics, we would be very grateful. Thank you also personally, as I supervised the production. I worked extensively on the lyric fitting and the prosody, and it is possible that I may have left something that was not noticed carefully enough.

Great job, everyone! Firmly rooted in the genre you describe, this rock piece carries strong influences from the cinematic world. The guitar solos once again deliver remarkable work, while the vocals are spot-on, perhaps slightly swept up by emotion, yet professional and unmistakable. There's an incredible sense of atmosphere that captures the setting perfectly.
Best regards, Anthony

Dear Anthony, once again, thank you very much for listening and for your thoughtful comments.
Since we only did a single vocal recording, and after putting a great deal of work into the lyric fitting so that the voice would sit properly within the music which we did not want to rerecord because it was very close to the atmosphere of the song we realized that it came out a bit more dramatic than we had expected.
So, we toughened up the track slightly by adding more guitar and drier drums, making it sound a little less emotional. Your observation was absolutely correct.
At this point, it would be difficult to redo it, because we would probably lose the feeling of the moment, so perhaps it is best as it is.
Thank you very much personally, with great appreciation,

Chris

So many things are going on here, and I fav'd this one. This is like an evolution of sludge metal (Candelmass) but also has some cool sensibilities of Priest (not Judas), which formed from the ex-ghost members. I will provide references. But I really liked the emotion and tasteful guitar.

Good morning,
thank you very much for your time and for listening to our track.

Honestly, Im not familiar with either the bands or the specific songs you mentioned, but Ill definitely give them a listen as soon as I get a few free minutes.

There was no direct influence from those bands in the creation of our song. Even in the blueprints we share with our members, the directions and ideas are not related to any specific well-known track. Of course, some similarities may naturally occur whether in chord progressions, solos, or even certain vocal approaches.

Our intention is not to sound like anyone else. At the same time, like every musician, we carry years of musical influences from many different bands, and inevitably those experiences shape the way we write and create music.

Thank you once again.

I wish you all the best in promoting the album; you deserve it.

And every time you explain the process you used for the vocals, guitars, etc., I'm amazed. Now I understand why you've taken so long to create this album, but the result is wonderful.
I hope that one day your work will be released physically, the old-fashioned way, on vinyl or CD, so I can buy it and have it on my shelf, next to Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Metallica, Queen, Dire Strait, etc. I'm also sure that the album cover and interior would be incredible, worthy of your lyrics.
Best of luck with this project, and thank you for the detailed explanations you give me.
Regards, Juan Carlos

Brilliant work, dark atmosphere it creates for the story.

Before, I enjoyed your music and your voices, but now, being able to read what you write is on another level. It happened to me again, like the other day: if I close my eyes, I can see the dark city, the dangerous alleyways, the gloomy atmosphere, and the nocturnal vices. All with the set design and atmosphere, as I told you the other day, of the movie "Sin City."
From 1:45 onwards, I got goosebumps. I liked the background voice that comes in at 2:50; it was like wailing from a dark alley. And from 3:00 onwards, the two voices narrating seemed sublime to me. As always, incredible guitars and percussion.
You are becoming my go-to Soul Rock band.
Congratulations on the excellent work you all do, the whole band.
Best regards, Juan Carlos

Well, my friend Juan Carlos, thank you feels too small for your comments and for the strength they give us. Right now Im at my advertiser friends place, working a bit on the album promotion.
Let me tell you a few things about this track. First of all, the vocals were recorded in one take. We didnt dare record them again. Three songs on the album were recorded that way, and this is one of them. It took a lot of work to shape the vocals into something we could fully support musically without changing the essence of the song itself.
We wanted exactly what you described: something dark, cinematic, and immersive, so the listener could actually feel the scene. Using Melodyne and the Eventide Quadravox, I worked on correcting the vocal imperfections and harmonies. The secondary vocals especially the female spoken part are completely natural, not a plugin. We recorded many guitar layers, kept only a few, and then filled the atmosphere carefully with some effects.
The result turned out even better than we expected. We really loved the noir atmosphere it created and yes, it does feel a bit like a scene from Sin City. It was a very difficult track to perform, and all of us were extremely satisfied with the final result.
Once again, thank you. Soon youll have the full album, so you can listen to it in high quality whenever you want.
Take care, my friend.
With appreciation,
Chris & LINEAR FADE
