I know you guys on that side been having brutal heat recently. Manuela and I have been e-mailing back and forth and she's telling me they are experiencing hot hot hot too. Stay cool and hydrated Bruv. I count on you to stop thru and check out what I'm up to. I'm not there yet with this track. I'm working on it as there's a certain something I'm after. Ah, this is sweet. Love the drums on this. Is that a Hammond organ I can hear at 1.27 gracing us with it's presence? Also loved the Fender Rhodes sounding section to the song too. At times it was slightly reminiscent of some of Barry Adamson's work. This is an outstanding track, with all the right elements and the song just flows so well. Love it!

Greetings B.V. Thank you for stopping by and checking my track. Hammond? Yep B3 on deck and you know it LOL! A little inside info on the E. P. section, The left hand chords........... A Wurli! Right hand melodies ...............Rhodes! Always an aspiration of mine getting those two iconic velvety sounds together. Barry Adamson's "Achieved In The Valley Of The Dolls" is an fine slice of music. It's great you thoroughly enjoyed your listen. Be safe.

Brother Mark, a much softer track than the traditional funk. I love it! The piano is outstanding. The strings add a new dimension. Thought provoking and sensitive. Love the original ending. Again, a very nice change up. A track only the "King" could produce. I got your email. Talk with you soon. Brother Cosmo

This tune is damn sweet. Has a bit 70s funk in it as well. The arrangement keeps me on the edge of my seat. You really know how to emphasize the instruments in a way that they shine together. Something I can really learn from. Mix is top notch as usual. Do you have music on spotify/YT?
kingmt77
kingmt77 replied 26th Jun 2026 - 1 month ago
hey mudhoen! Thank you for stopping through. It's really great what you heard proved to be an worthwhile listen. The 70's funk is one thing that's virtually impossible to escape. Especially with the resurgence of authentic ol skool funk. I'm in the mid stage with my art work for my music I'm releasing on Bandcamp. So YT maybe later. I'm not feeling Spotify yet. A few of my musician buddy's have told me horror stories about their experience. The time, comments, and compliments are treasured in a big way.

Peace,

B.O.M.! I feel sometimes like if you could get a MRI image of my music brain, then you could understand why some of my tracks are long. So many ideas all the time. Manageable, but so many. For you to enjoy this listen is huge. Thank you for your time, feedback, and compliments. Be safe.

Great and impressive work!
I am not well versed in jazz and such but I did get a Lee Ritenour vibe whenever the guitar went off:)
Where is it being "shipped out" to?

kingmt77 replied 25th Jun 2026 - 1 month ago
Antronical Greetings. Thanks for giving my jazz passions and expressions a listen. On the Lee Ritenour mention, I firmly believe our exposure to high caliber musicians like Lee sticks with our musical DNA. It shows up sometimes unintentionally. That's a huge compliment. This will land at Bandcamp when finished. Be safe.

Peace,

Mark

Hello King !! There is so much art in your tracks that one listener must live within the spirit of this type of music to express a "technical" opinion!
But as a simple listener , I can say that the track is magical to my ears Mark !!! Full of energy and what a rythm (!!!) and full of "artistic melody lines" , pro quality overall !!!
Cheerssssssssssssssss !!!

Great jazz, Mark. This piece is pure keyboard heaven, with the keys doing incredible, sometimes unimaginable things. All the instruments are top quality of course, but my closeness to keyboard instruments makes me notice them the most.
I think your track is ready for any journey out there.
Best regards, Anthony

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...

When I heard it I immediately started humming a melody over it. This is a work in progress. I hope you enjoy it so far....Ferryterry (guitar) and Mario LG (drums).

ADDENDUM: I am slowly trying to do better with mixing my vocals. So, here is my SECOND attempt at mixing this tune better. FerryTerry will, of course, be handling the the real mix. ENJOY!

A nice little jam - I don't seem to find the time and calmness to write lyrics, so let's stick with Instrumentals.

Oh and... no AI in any phase of the creation. Written, played, mixed & mastered by yours truly - I'd rather have my mistakes than AI misuse.

Oh and if you're in a hurry... don't miss my favourite bit which is around 1:40 :D
