Hi Chris,

I'm absolutely thrilled! I was expecting a veritable explosion of musical creativity when such fantastic musicians come together but this piece is, in my opinion, absolutely top-notch.
A wonderful performance from the three of you. Incredibly beautiful and emotional jazz. I would love to hear this piece live sometime.
I really hope we'll hear more from the three of you soon. Warm regards,

Manuela

The instrumentation on this is top shelf, but man, that crispy mix is what sends this one off into the stratosphere. Insanely good, feels like I'm there at a live session with you guys. Really well done. I hope all is well.

Hi there, yeah that was the intention I guess, just a groove/jam track with hopefully enough variation to hold the interest. Micky and Jynx parts really helped it along. Cheers Zoot.

Glad you thought it was fun. Check out the link to the Nina Simone song I put in a reply to kingmt77. That was partly the inspiration. Other than that, you know how it works... It could be one or two notes on a guitar, a sound, a feeling, a rhythm..... Cheers bro.

That track probably isn't what most people would associate Nina with.... But man the percussion and the feeling behind it is outrageous. And live too!

Chris! The percussive entrance is Wow! That sinister ep with the synth is scandalous. Infectious groove on deck. Guitar solo is quite pertinent. Yep I wouldnt expect anything less from The Zoot and the renowned Star Travels team. Congrats on a great organic collaboration!

Hi there, thanks so much mate. Hopefully you didn't find my attempt at some quasi jazz Rhodes too amusing lol. For someone who struggles to play in time, I seem to like rhythm. This was partially inspired by this Nina Simone track:

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=5GsCHQkulr4&;desc_update=1

Apparently written by Tina Turners sister about Ike.

All the best

The song feels to me a bit like it could be on stage in a musical. It's a bit theatrical... I like it, but the next one might well be a rock song ;)

All instruments & vocals recorded live at home, without samples.

Description : Psychedelic Eastern cellhop progressing into a heavy and not at all hip hop ending. Lots of cool basslines and killer beats, all at 80 BPM. Cello is the main instrument and it also covers all the bass parts (no other bass instruments used). I didn't have to add any octave lowering effects to those cello basslines. A few synths, including a dark, trippy pad that gets very psychedelic and swirling when delay and distortion are added. Also a lyre to occasionally add an Eastern drone sound and an 8bit lead sine synth in one section. Drums are mixture of programmed acoustic kits and drum loops. You can really bounce to this shit while firing your guns in the air. So, do that and then come back and let me know if you enjoyed it. Criticism, praise, suggestions etc all welcome. Now get ready to bounce...
