Listen To Transformer 3 Electronic Song By TheFrenZ At Looperman.com

12th Feb 2025 08:34 - 6 months ago
Description : The third in the "Transformer" series.
Electronic/Pop?
This is the same song as "Transformer" 1 and 2 but again tweaked a "bit" on the instruments and style :-)
Back to the synths, enjoy.

This is cool, man. It has a good flow. I was impressed with your use of automation as well.
I don't know if this is only going to be a trilogy, or if it's going to continue on to 4, 5, and further. But I have to commend you for keeping the different versions totally different, but still recognizable as the same. I have, I think, 3 trilogies that I've either completed, or still in the progress of, and I didn't do nearly as well as you in keeping the theme within the music an obvious element. Something I definitely need to try a little harder at in the future.

But, this isn't about me...back to your excellent tracks.
After listening to all three in a row, I think my only very minor complaint is, in versions 2 and 3, the drums are much quieter than they are in 1. I think if you brought them up in the mix just a touch, it would really help fill them out dynamically. The synths travel beautifully through all three tracks, I think a little boost in that percussion would give them a solid foundation to playfully weave through.
With that aside, excellent work on all 3 tracks. Keep it up!
Take care.

Sorry that it took so long for my answer to arrive. Thanks for the nice words, much appreciated.
Transformer 4 arrived after my little "Sun Inside" distraction, and now even more automation but no drum at all, had an epiphany hence the new weird track.
Two extra parties investigating their own Transformer version, so the series could grow even more.
The drum in 2 and 3, I will look into that, but the 1st one started as a kind of Techno, hard drums required, the others are different styles, but again, I will have an extra listen.
Again, thanks for the nice words.

gorgeous synth work - just a little touch of tangerine dream and a healthy but large dose of (yes 80/ 90's) electro pop : )

Hello TheFrenZ, I think your third installment is a nice addition to the series....it's a fun listen like the others....there's enough changes to make it stand clear and free....good job.

Hi Glenn, glad you like it. Waiting for a variation from my nephew. I started a new song to distract my mind :-), don't know yet if I will continue working on the series.

Hello, as the Swiss poet Gottfried Keller once said: "Clothes make the man." New clothes, therefore, make new people. I think we humans are influenced by nothing more than the external appearance. It's the same in music. The sound image is decisive and also creates the impression that you get as a listener of the music. With us, there are always several versions of an idea. Eventually, we choose one. Sometimes we also release different versions as editions of the same song. That's just how it is. The listener ultimately decides what becomes successful.
Best regards, Manuela

Hi Manuela, thanks for your explanation and the insight.
Making multiple versions of a song was my first time, as a pensioner and hobbyist I can create what I like and usually don't have to take others or my musical future into account, I create something, and on to the next, usually I ask my nephew for his opinion before I put it online, but that's it.

An interesting elec-pop track - scintillating synths - a bit Ultravoxy, I thought. Love it. Kay

Thanks, glad you like it, I thought myself it sounds a bit 80s/90s :-)
It surprises me how easy it is to change a song completely by changing instruments, adding some extras and maybe the beat as its still the same song as version 1 and 2, same structure and melodies.

Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.

Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.

Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
