The Highest Rung - JohnMatteson
21st Dec 2024 05:28 - 1 year ago
Description : When I was a boy we had a eucalyptus tree in our back yard that hung out over the gully. When the strong Santa Ana winds would blow I would climb way up in the highest limbs and hang on for dear life. As the wind would blow the branch would sway back and forth giving you quite a ride. I did this for hours after school. I was kind of a trippy little kid haha!

I smiled when I heard this - it sounds a bit psychedelic. I found myself imagining that you could smell the eucalyptus as you swang - that would make it a very heady experience indeed! The lyric 'But You Lord still stand true, I still can put all my trust in You' is genuis. If you think about how we get swept up and blown about by life, just like you in that tree, that lyric is even more potent. Christmas wishes to you Kay & Oli

Description : 120BPM, C#m
A hard, robotic-sounding trap beat with an aggressive atmosphere, deep 808 bass, and punchy kicks. The melody was created using a single instrument, keeping the sound minimal, dark, and futuristic. Heavy low-end, hard-hitting drums, and mechanical vibes give this beat its distinctive character.
