You guys still on my back catalogue lol !! I dont' feel like I really fully realised this one, almost got it, plus I don't think the mix is that great. Thanks for listening yet again!!
Hey Mr Jingle Black Peter has he been licking those frogs again?
transitions were really good and clean and drums yeah crisp like you have fare came on man look forward to hearing some more :)
Hey Chris, this is a nice track that has a slightly lost atmosphere. But it also breathes a lot of space, which somehow reminds me of a David Lynch film. Perhaps impressions of your homeland also play into the music. Anyway, it was worth finishing the track... very nice work.
Cheers,
Micky
Hi Micky, thanks a lot for listening. Yes, I do actually wonder quite often if environment/landscape influences music. I would say creativity in general does though, for sure. Cheers Chris
Those drums are just delicious and work so well woth the guitar. Some fantastic effects too.
Do you know who "Black Peter" (Zwarte Piet") is in Dutch culture? (you might be unpleasantly surprised btw).
Thanks Baobou, I was pleased with the drums too. I looked up Black Peter - yes, one of those cultural things (like golliwogs I guess) that were acceptable at one point in time, but less so now days. Cheers from Down Under.
Great work. I know it takes timew to shape a song for structure and make it feel seamless. You certainly did that here. Definitely a Doors feel as others have nmentioned. I love the progression and groove. Enjoyed it thouroughly !
Much appreciated Bilbozo, glad you enjoyed. Late response sorry, it's been crazy here at work, so time just went by. No time for listening, and not much for creating. Zoot.
hey there Chris! i guess doors comparisons are bound to accrue to headtrips like this, i guess it’s a good reference point, but it’s doors as recorded for flying nun, unheard music indeed. til now, mate. it’s a godawful and glowing moment at 2.00 or so when the swamp git enters the picture. you sing like a disillusioned dead-eyed sting. the singing becomes incantatory by the 2nd verse and the instruments become heat shimmers above the rhythm. the blade-runner ref skews this nicely as well. haunted strange and visionary.
Ah you're too kind as usual but still your insights are on the money. Though the the SciFi reference in the lyrics was more William Gibsons Neuromancer (one of my all time favourite books) than Bladerunner. Similar vibe tho. As for the swamp guitar, that was me getting angry at my lack of chops on that instrument and inability to get a decent solo down. So I used that frustration anyway, kind of an anti-solo solo lol. Och aye .
Hey Zootman, not a genre I have had much to do with but enjoying the listen, I think I have some Indi loops somewhere in my massive library so might give it ago if I come across any, you on vocals? nice voice easy to listen too, couldn't find anything to fault, nice fullness through headset, will be sure to check out more of your tunes in the future now I'm back in the fold after very long time away, fav, Peace much Respect mosaic
Hey Mosaic, sorry for the late response to your kind comment. I hid this track then forgot all about replying. Yep that's me on vocals, for my sins. All the best, Zoot.
Hahahaha Chris!!!
I didd translate it.
Wow I'm laughing myself to death
The text makes no sense when I translate it into Dutch.
I read Zwarte Piet
of Sinterklaas, the Dutch children's festival on December 5.
I also read VAT, which has to do with sales tax for us.
This is so funny
but because of your beautiful voice it makes absolutely no difference what you sing about.
that's funny! My daughter the other day in the car, started randomly singing the words on her little toy fluffy dog. Stuff like - polyester, do not dry clean, hand wash, made in china....It sounded great I wanted to use it for something lol
Beautiful!!
And yes Manuela is right...the Doors.
The music and everything is really well put together into a killer beat and your voice is amazing here.
A track to be proud of.
Shit I'm only just getting started lol. Apart from the cymbals the beat was two loops smushed together. I liked the syncopation and that snare hit on the second beat every couple of bars sounded good to me. Made it kind of lollop along. Let's see what your google translator makes of some of those words!!
Chris i can see the work you put into this, the production is fantastic. it is finely balanced across the whole piece. your vocal is great the processing is fire delay reverb dynanic EQ, your best vocal performance for me, please tell me you you saved the processing chain? and the master channel looks like it had all the bells an whistles on too. love the guitar tone that choral lift at 0.27 is great, the drum work is red hot anything else added would muddy its excellence that bass is gritty AF and the title is sic stunning work bro, no comparisons from me, this is simply CHRISNZ
Hey man, thanks for the listen etc. Glad to hear, coz I struggled with the structure. Felt like it needed another section ie. chorus or variation but I just couldn't work one out. So maybe it just drifts a bit but never mind. Cheers Chris
So funny you mentioning finishing up a song, my new one took me 2 months, life was happening as well but I couldn't wait to get it done and move on, lol.
Great vibe from the start. Neat drumbeat, cool sounding guitars and synths and when the vox started, all the effects, I was sold! Great mix too!
Yeah I need to learn that sometimes it's best just to put stuff aside and work on something else for a while. Come back with fresh ears. I'm starting to do that. Vox FX was guitar rig. It has a great effects bank even if you don't really want to use an amp Sim.
Doors... I will not allow Manuela to make a foreign generational appropriation here! My generation! And the music of this generation is unique, in my opinion not matched by any of the following generations to this day.
But in the matter itself, Manuela is right! It reminds of the Doors - including me, and also immediately. I also don't remember anyone ever coming close to this absolutely unique selling point sound of the Doors in the long run.
Wow, you have impressed me once again! Great song! First I thought Marc Klopfler, then the Doors and then the best psychodellic rock I've heard in a long time. Fantastic! I think that says it all. I don't know if I expressed myself clearly. What I mean is that it is a very very great song for me
Best regards Manuela
Description : Hey guys! Something different this time. I pulled from my teenage angst for this. As well as listening to a lot of indie artists, Ryan caraveo being my favorite. Let me know what you guys think! I know this one isn't going to be too popular but hope you guys like it! I feel like it might be a little bass heavy but tell me what you guys think!
Description : To me this sounds like a late night jam when everyone in the band but the drummer is half toasted and things could fall apart any second. Funnily enough that's pretty much what it is only I'm the band. One take on guitars vocals and bass, minimal edits. Could be a complete mess could be not. Either way happy if you let me know.
Description : This track is a collaboration with another Looperman member, Salve Clements, a very talented vocalist from Australia. Salve wrote the lyrics and composed and recorded the vocal melody and lyrics.
In working on the mix, I simply wasn’t able to achieve a proper balance in the overall sound. So, I got some help from Wytse Gerichhausen of White Sea Studio in the Netherlands. He was able to fix the problems I had created and got it sounding the way I had hoped it would.
Description : sticking with Cyberflares, hope this is a surprise Robin, as an artist i believe certain tracks are made for you and this is one off them
his track Smacking Hard he posted as rap,
bro this was so more powerful than rap, this smacks hard :))
Description : You need some emotions? Then you are just right here! I am not sure what kind of feelings you will get but i am sure you will get some intense ones. -- Older track that some how got lost in the looperversum. But here it is again --
Description : In 2017 my little cousin took his own life. My entire family blamed themselves for it. Never questioning what he was going through or what he may have been feeling. For a long time, I wanted to create a song where I put myself in the shoes of someone hurting. This song has a long way to go before it's finished. I wanted to share what I have thus far in hopes it inspires me to finish it.
Description : Now out as part of an EP on Spotify, iTunes and all the other ones. Thanks for all your encouragement, it means the world to me!
==========================
This particular poem consists of two 1000 year old Japanese "renga", short "word flowers" about the autumn rains. They inspired me... and I hope you will like them too.
Description : found a couple loops by bradosanz and made an indie rock track. let me know what you think in the comments, especially ways i could improve it or if you like it. thanks!
Description : I tried an indie rock / songwriter etc. track, trying new genres.
Haven't posted in a while but just wanted to hear feedback here!
It's also out of Spotify and YouTube and Apple Music and Soundcloud for anyone who wants to listen.
Description : Made this a few months back but just added some vocals - well a few different ones : )
Like the sound but as track it still lacks a bit of structure
Feedback welcome
