Description : I wrote this track about two years ago. I remember at the time I wrote it I was having conversations with BofD and Mark about oddball time signatures so,
I played all the instruments in different time signatures from time to time 3/4 4/4 5,6 &7/8 etc. I wanted this track to be a track where time sigs went to die.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.

Mark
Thank you for revisiting
this track and continuing
to give me the encouragement
to keep trying to convert/translate
my thoughts into sound/music.
I miss being on the LM grid.
I hope to be back soon.
I loved the chilled jazz vibe.
This is a fantastic piece of music, my friend.
Sorry my friend I thought I did this one blame it on the tablets.
Well done mate
Downloaded & Faved.
Maj
No worries, I'm glad you got a chance to
check this track out. I thought it was out
of the cycle, I haven't been on LM much lately.
Your Fave is a huge encouragement for me.
PEACE...
Yes, I remember sax soloing over this. I counting it as 12/8, or 3/4 triplets, depending on your perspective.
I still think the intro sounds like drums falling down the stairs...
:P
Faved anyway.
I figured you'd gone on a sabbatical to some remote place
In Maka Picchu the Congo or perhaps Boise doing a music
Quest.
I'm glad you're back, perhaps you can help me stop plundering time signatures and what not.:-)
As always I appreciate you stopping by, giving my track a listen and this time a Fave.
PEACE from the East. TTYL...
I think we've never discussed any kind of collab, but if you're up for it, hit me up!
Just point me in the direction you
want to go and I'm always game for making
some music.
Thanks for your listen and hopefully we can
do a track real soon.
PEACE...
The woman vox is so cool in it.
All with all a great track mister
Mark and I were in a band together(Back in the day)
If it weren't for him I probably would have never started
playing Keyboards.
I'm glad you like the track. You seem to be partial to "Vox"
so I make sure I put plenty in most of my tracks.
I appreciate your listen and very kind comments.
PEACE...
Your Fave means a lot to me Cru.
Perhaps I can disappoint you with my next track. It's guaranteed to be "Craptacular" LOL
PEACE from the SouthEast...
I know that the "Genre Police" are
on my trail so, I guess now I'll have
a "Time signature Swat team" watching me
too:-).
I love LM, this is the place where you can
post your "real" musical ideas and get real time
feedback from other Producers/Artists that are on
the same musical journey.
I appreciate you stopping by and giving this track a
listen and especially for the Fave. It means a lot coming
from a LM alumni like yourself.
PEACE...
I am beginning to find some of my old stuff
that had decent content but, back then I wasn't
as knowledgeable about the presentation or some of
the other utilities and what-not that can make an old
track sound very different than it did back then. I guess
since I'm still learning more stuff about music production
almost everyday I'll probably say the same thing about this
version two years from now.
Your listen and Fave are a huge encouragement as well as a
indicator that I'm moving forward. I really appreciate it.
PEACE...
I've probably said this before but you are one of the artist
here on LM that caught my ear when I first got on LM.
You may have been one of the first to make encouraging comments on tracks I posted that kept me going and continuing to post on LM. Thanks.
Thanks for your listen and continued encouragement.
PEACE...
I was very happy with the way this track turned out.
I had just gotten the Bass and Keyboard VST's when I
wrote this and was a little afraid that I needed to play
with them more before I posted a track with them but, apparently that fear was just me.
I'm really glad you found this track interesting enough to Fave it. That is a sure indication to me that the music I'm
making is going in the right direction.
PEACE...
Michael
I got some good nfo from BofD (pro straight beat) and Mark (pro oddball beat) I hadn't really given much thought to time signatures but after my conversations with them I started paying more attention to it. It seems it's something you can't un-see once you start seeing/hearing it.
I appreciate your listen and encouraging comments.
PEACE...
Smooth jazzy feel..I know where to come to
listen to some real, real music.
I've been enjoying your tracks since I got on LM.
I'm glad I could make a track that you enjoy.
Thank you for giving the track a listen. Your comments
are very encouraging to me. The Fave is really appreciated.
PEACE...
Mark
I'm glad you liked this track.
I got a little tired of the "Splash"
Cymbal I told you about by the time I
was ready to post but I still kept it in.
Your listen and Fave is always a sign to me
that I must be moving in the right direction.
PEACE from the East...
You don't miss anything.
The Cymbals were the first
thing that caught my ear as
I was scrolling through some
of my old tracks. Those Vox's
just never seem to wear out. I've
been using pretty much the same ones
since I started making tracks.
I really appreciate you stopping
by and giving this track a listen.
Your Fave is the icing on the cake.
PEACE Bro...
