Description : I wrote this track about two years ago. I remember at the time I wrote it I was having conversations with BofD and Mark about oddball time signatures so,
I played all the instruments in different time signatures from time to time 3/4 4/4 5,6 &7/8 etc. I wanted this track to be a track where time sigs went to die.

If you have time take a listen and give Jynxz some feedback.

Rob I’m checking the back catalog and this is still a classic. That swing says it all. Peace.

What's up Mark,

Thank you for revisiting
this track and continuing
to give me the encouragement
to keep trying to convert/translate
my thoughts into sound/music.
I miss being on the LM grid.
I hope to be back soon.

Wow, Robbie.
I loved the chilled jazz vibe.
This is a fantastic piece of music, my friend.
Sorry my friend I thought I did this one blame it on the tablets.
Well done mate
Downloaded & Faved.

Hello Maj,

No worries, I'm glad you got a chance to
check this track out. I thought it was out
of the cycle, I haven't been on LM much lately.
Your Fave is a huge encouragement for me.

bringerofDOOM 10th Aug 2022 02:34 - 1 year ago
It's been a while, hope you are doing well.

Yes, I remember sax soloing over this. I counting it as 12/8, or 3/4 triplets, depending on your perspective.

I still think the intro sounds like drums falling down the stairs...

Faved anyway.
Jynxz replied 10th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
The Bringer of DOOM.

I figured you'd gone on a sabbatical to some remote place
In Maka Picchu the Congo or perhaps Boise doing a music
I'm glad you're back, perhaps you can help me stop plundering time signatures and what not.:-)

As always I appreciate you stopping by, giving my track a listen and this time a Fave.

PEACE from the East. TTYL...
BaoBou 9th Aug 2022 10:15 - 1 year ago
That's really good to hear buddy. Big musical hug :)
I think we've never discussed any kind of collab, but if you're up for it, hit me up!
Jynxz replied 10th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
What's up BaoBou,

Just point me in the direction you
want to go and I'm always game for making
some music.
Thanks for your listen and hopefully we can
do a track real soon.

RitajustRita 9th Aug 2022 09:21 - 1 year ago
You and Mark are the Jazz masters of LM thats for sure.
The woman vox is so cool in it.
All with all a great track mister
Jynxz replied 10th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello Rita,

Mark and I were in a band together(Back in the day)
If it weren't for him I probably would have never started
playing Keyboards.

I'm glad you like the track. You seem to be partial to "Vox"
so I make sure I put plenty in most of my tracks.
I appreciate your listen and very kind comments.

crucethus 7th Aug 2022 03:41 - 1 year ago
Wow, what an intro. The time sig choices you have made, have enabled my head to twitch for a few minutes, but I got over it as the song settled in with that piano and some cool spatial sounds giving you that acid-like experience sort of like Mushroom does. This is a very well-creative composition you have made. I had to listen twice, fav'd
Jynxz replied 7th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
I was pretty sure you would be disappointed with this old track. I can't believe you survived listening to it twice.:-)

Your Fave means a lot to me Cru.

Perhaps I can disappoint you with my next track. It's guaranteed to be "Craptacular" LOL

PEACE from the SouthEast...
Kirkoid 6th Aug 2022 13:10 - 1 year ago
Amazing, I love tracks that throw convention out the window and still sound great.
Jynxz replied 7th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello Kirkoid,

I know that the "Genre Police" are
on my trail so, I guess now I'll have
a "Time signature Swat team" watching me
I love LM, this is the place where you can
post your "real" musical ideas and get real time
feedback from other Producers/Artists that are on
the same musical journey.
I appreciate you stopping by and giving this track a
listen and especially for the Fave. It means a lot coming
from a LM alumni like yourself.

Zootman 6th Aug 2022 09:23 - 1 year ago
Yes this did mess with my head, not being able to find the first beat of a bar most of the way through. But I like that a lot. Great smooth slinky track, sultry vox, cool as fuck piano. Sweet all round.
Jynxz replied 7th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
What's up down-under Zootman.

I am beginning to find some of my old stuff
that had decent content but, back then I wasn't
as knowledgeable about the presentation or some of
the other utilities and what-not that can make an old
track sound very different than it did back then. I guess
since I'm still learning more stuff about music production
almost everyday I'll probably say the same thing about this
version two years from now.

Your listen and Fave are a huge encouragement as well as a
indicator that I'm moving forward. I really appreciate it.

BaoBou 5th Aug 2022 19:34 - 1 year ago
Smooth jazzy sounds - the weird time signatures don't hinder the listener, and they really work in the track. Well done!
Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello BaoBou,

I've probably said this before but you are one of the artist
here on LM that caught my ear when I first got on LM.
You may have been one of the first to make encouraging comments on tracks I posted that kept me going and continuing to post on LM. Thanks.
Thanks for your listen and continued encouragement.

xstokes 5th Aug 2022 18:56 - 1 year ago
oh, brother, that first change at :38 just made me both sit up and set back for more, and having read your desc i knew i was in for something special. over with way 2 soon!! ah, the swinging piano is brilliant, as is the stabby synth lead. and yeah, the rhythm section takes no prisoners! i am really glad you uploaded this for us!!
Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello xstokes,

I was very happy with the way this track turned out.
I had just gotten the Bass and Keyboard VST's when I
wrote this and was a little afraid that I needed to play
with them more before I posted a track with them but, apparently that fear was just me.
I'm really glad you found this track interesting enough to Fave it. That is a sure indication to me that the music I'm
making is going in the right direction.

phantomproduction 5th Aug 2022 10:59 - 1 year ago
for my part, jazz in 3/4 is already quite difficult, so there!!!! great job Rob!
Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
What's up Michael,

I got some good nfo from BofD (pro straight beat) and Mark (pro oddball beat) I hadn't really given much thought to time signatures but after my conversations with them I started paying more attention to it. It seems it's something you can't un-see once you start seeing/hearing it.

I appreciate your listen and encouraging comments.

BeatMaker4real 5th Aug 2022 04:25 - 1 year ago
Nice work on the track Jynxz..
Smooth jazzy feel..I know where to come to
listen to some real, real music.
Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello BM4R,

I've been enjoying your tracks since I got on LM.
I'm glad I could make a track that you enjoy.
Thank you for giving the track a listen. Your comments
are very encouraging to me. The Fave is really appreciated.

kingmt77 4th Aug 2022 06:21 - 1 year ago
Rob, Nice! The formula you used produced an on point groove. I remember this one. I love the lively entrance then you came with that ultra smooth chilled jazz vibe. That bass fits perfectly and your signature synth work never disappoints. A great track faved!

Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
Hello Mark,

I'm glad you liked this track.
I got a little tired of the "Splash"
Cymbal I told you about by the time I
was ready to post but I still kept it in.
Your listen and Fave is always a sign to me
that I must be moving in the right direction.

PEACE from the East...
dimestop 4th Aug 2022 02:09 - 1 year ago
love that intro with the echo and the glitched start, then wow super smooth jazz, them vox bro, hahahaha, gorgeous, as you can see ive teased and pleased her mate love a cymbal smash aswell great job
Jynxz replied 5th Aug 2022 - 1 year ago
What's up Paul,

You don't miss anything.
The Cymbals were the first
thing that caught my ear as
I was scrolling through some
of my old tracks. Those Vox's
just never seem to wear out. I've
been using pretty much the same ones
since I started making tracks.

I really appreciate you stopping
by and giving this track a listen.
Your Fave is the icing on the cake.

PEACE Bro...

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
