Description : Didn't use a DAW for this. Just used Audacity to work out ideas and decided to post this version.
Loops used are by the great Joe Funktastic, various vocal chops I've collected from Looperman and another loop that I used for the middle that I need to search for the creators name. I'd always wanted to use it, and felt it fit here.

I love that "fat" sound with all the separation and panning. This is a "Hot" track.

Hey Wikkid, watchout my big head is about to blow up over that "great Joe Funktastic" quote, lol! But more than that it tales a a special person like you to give credit to folks first and that is what I like the most here, it is Christian like. Your work is truly amazing because you do things with the loops that are truly awesome. So right back out there to you for a truly amazing piece of work there Wikkid. I remember that day when you heard that loop and amazingly you knew exactly what to do with it. Keep up the excellent work because you deserve the spotlight not me. I mean really, you have the Audacity to mention me! :-) Cheers!

    Hi Joe

    Welcome to the party!

As I've told you before its all about the foundation, and your loops are a must-have for me. This piece is longer and has vocals that will be on the EP I'm working on.

Thanks for all your kind words.

I really like this one, sounds awesome spatially and to use audacity as the base is an amazing feat. Since you have got me back listening to old school post-disco,(Circa D-Train) High NRG, Minneapolis and the like, I have a link(2) U might enjoy.
Enjoy. This is an awesome piece that you should finish ehh?

A rather festive collection of loops & beats. Love the chop up vocal effect. Great work.

Thank you for your kind word. Yeah, I really like putting vocal chops into my EDM and Trap creations. And Looperman has a collection of some of the most diverse and creative vocal chops around.

Great energy here! Really cool kicks, it's a kind of sound wraps the ears, and i like it so much. Why not an adequate bassline? Especially in the central part, the song seems a tad ... something missing! In any case, i though work with audacity only must not have been easy, it allowed you to develop the track as it deserved. I have the same problem as your with the DAW... but i can't use Cool Edit Pro for my tracks, i feel not in comfort use it's rack. (Better edit some samples before insert them in FL Studio!)

    Reply by wikkid

    Hi Henry,

Thanks for your comment and question.
There's a bassline running throughout the primary loop. It's just higher than some may be used to, however after I fiddled around and changed the key lower, I found that I liked the original key of the loop better. In another version I doubled the loop (added the lower version along with the original) but I kept coming back to this version as the one I liked best. Sometimes less is more :)

    Hi Grido.

There's a not so secret ingredient that I used, and his name is Joe Funktastic. His loops are FIRE.

Audacity? I use fl studio for beats and audacuty for recorsing. Never have i ever used audacity for beats. Props to you. Great job.

    Thanks for your kind words.

Sometimes it takes too long for Mixcraft to load on my laptop, and there are times my midi keyboard doesn't play well with it. So for ease of use I highly recommend Audacity (for PC users) as long as midi isn't involved.

Description : I had this amazing vox: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5256 and drums by Eos and Mmedia to work with and this is what I came up with.
The acapella is from Porter Robinson and Mat Zo's tune Easy, so technically it's a remix, but I actually heard the original after I made my own song around the vox so it's not similar at all...maybe that's a good thing, I don't know.
But I really did my best with this one and tried to use everything I learned so far while mixing and mastering and I'm actually almost happy with the result.
Work in progress though...the piano comes out in one ear and the vox in the other so something went wrong anyway. =D
Edit: I'm NOT happy at all anymore - hearing all the flaws now...
Feedback will be much appreciated!
