Anyway, started this yesterday. finished today. More Memphis rap beats out of me for a bit. Was going to make some Phonk out of this, but this sounds more of a trap track than a Phonk song.

Imho this is Jazz Fusion, but I don't think Looperman has that category as an option. Pioneers of the genre, like Herbie Hancock and The Crusaders gained a whole 'nother fan base back in the day for daring to be different.
Jazz purists looked down on Jazz Fusion for its melding of several styles with jazz, like funk, rock and R&B. Now its routinely done.
Very tasty track. One of the best in your catalogue of music.
bit of a James Bond feeling in some parts...rhythm section is more than groovy :-)
