Breathless - Rei4real
28th Dec 2008 20:56 - 17 years ago
Description : another time I try my hands on a genre I'm not very familiar with, and I'm not even sure if this is really Techno ... so correct me if I'm wrong .... anyway .... I used drumloops from Sony, Loopcache and a looperman fellow called Yisraelee (thank you!!!), and though the track sounds strictly electronic everything else you hear are guitarloops (believe it or not) run through gates and filters ...... it's a very driving track with a lot of energy ..... so, enjoy the ride!!!! peace, rei .... UPDATE!!! I added a gated bassline created with Mr. Robot's faboulus FETT BASS vst (check it out in the vst section here on looperman ...) ... now it's a real energy ride ... enjoy!!! peace, rei

maybe if I have a little more time left I'll do something like this again just for practice ... ;-)

good song
I wasn't even sure if I should upload it anywhere ... lol
and sorry for the very late reply ...
peace, rei
This is Techno that's bending or breaking rules of the genre. It's through these songs that challenge the assumptions that new and exciting stuff is made (or discovered). Best to break the rules to make good music than follow them and sound like everyone else.
Love the energy in this one!
places like this can inspire someone's imagination in a way that wouldn't be possible just by listening ...
and imagination has no boundaries, except those you raise yourself ...
thank you!!!
peace, rei
well, I guess you missed nothing, now with the new bassline it is a good track, it was only medium before ... lol
peace, rei
plus its yours great talent
im impressed
it's just a little playing around with genres, but if I find some people who like it, it must be good enough ... lol

panekk
i hear kraftwerk now.....
Cool song here. Lots of 'gateing and effects' going on. Wouldn't know it was a guitar playing at all.
Great work in putting it all together to make it work seemlessly....which is often the hard part when messing with loops as I do.
Well, I like it and don't know the genre it would fit into except electronic I guess.

11/10 *****
everything except the drumloops is from me, basically the licks are pretty simple, the gates make them sound so different ... the claps are from a sony 8pack, this loop fitted perfectly ... oh, I uploaded some of that guitar loops recently ... they're called "yellow" ...

yea, yea, yea yea...
dont stop it, just rock it
all around da room the speakers
are knocken.
to the dance floor all the ladie's
they flocken...
ohh man the beat stoped, that was hot...
who says guitars cant sound like what ever you want... i dont think anybody says that mwhahaah...
of course i'd love it more if their was some thick low end.... but its a rocckin track the way it is
For me your tracks is more a kind of electro instead of techno... But i'm not a specialist...
Your track is full of good ideas !
thank you !
