Wow, sounds soooo catchy! ^^

DubSmockers 4th Dec 2017 19:20 - 8 years ago

Absolutely wild! Love the funky vibe, and the acapella at the beginning sets the mood well.

wikkid 28th Nov 2017 20:22 - 8 years ago

Bravo.

Yowsa! Cab Calloway meets George Benson (guitar) meets Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. Stellar job making old skol sound nu skol. I can hear this on a US commercial, probably an ad for a luxury car or a soft drink.
I also agree with Silverman about the top notch mixing.
Great job adding in the vocal snippets. Everything clicks together, and the beat compliments this. Good job on choosing the loops.
Definitely marking this as a fave.

Perko93 replied 28th Nov 2017 - 8 years ago

Thank you very much for those flattering words, being even compared to those artists is a huge compliment alone. Considering that I made this song in less than a week and only as a gift for a friend that loves electroswing(and I never made this type of music before) I am very satisfied with the feedback so far, so who knows, maybe I will make another similar track soon.

Karetoons 27th Nov 2017 07:25 - 8 years ago

Great stuff! The intro peaked my interest and the beat kept me going :) It's a great ride!

DanGoldstein 26th Nov 2017 15:05 - 8 years ago

i enjoy (and am challenged) by the groove in this one. A lot of energy on off-beats. i think it is innovative work you do here and you have a nice feel for mix. Would be cool to have live sax laying stuff down for this. Enjoyed it very much. Regards - Dan

Perko93 replied 26th Nov 2017 - 8 years ago

Thanks for the kind words Dan. The live saxophone idea sounds great, it could add a lot to the song, I wish I knew how to play it myself. Cheers!

BLAZEDOG 25th Nov 2017 21:15 - 8 years ago

love the beginning is that a sample?

Perko93 replied 26th Nov 2017 - 8 years ago

Thanks for commenting, yes it is an acapella cover of frank sinatra's song, I forgot to mention in the description. Cover is by DjShemzee, here's the link: https://www.looperman.com/acapellas/detail/5750/fly-me-to-the-moon-by-djshemzee-89bpm-jazz-acapella

silverman 23rd Nov 2017 23:11 - 8 years ago

This is fantastic!
Has a live show feel to it.
You've mixed this top notch.
Sounds very professional to my ears.
Very enjoyable listen.

Perko93 replied 24th Nov 2017 - 8 years ago

Thanks a lot for nice words silverman, since I'm a fan of very diverse music genres other stuff i might upload won't necessarily be electroswing, but hopefully will be even better.

I used an acapella by RayKoefoed - The Sum Of A Body ( LM ), actually just one verse.
I need a rest :)
