Description : This is the track I'm most proud of, learned the most from and worked the hardest on. I got a bunch of ideas from so many people MasanoriMurabayashi, Wikkid, JosephFunk, thelastmonte, BeatMaker4real, lAVel, Crucethus, Spivkurl, and Danke. I implemented most of them. Thanks to wildsistem for 0106681-wildsistem-piano-arp. Key: G#m.
From reading all the comments, this track has gone through several changes in it's short life. Good to see your spirit rising to work out any issues and make your productions better. I lack that quality, lol.
I like the idea and feel of the song. There is something to this idea. I often tend to do a lot of shorter compositions by taking an interesting idea and doing a 1-2 min musical treatment rather than a full length track. It keeps from repeating loops and musical phrases, I can add leads, pads, rhythm instruments just like any long song and the listener can get in and out quickly and hear interesting things all through the short but full production song. Plus you don't spend hours mixing many verses and chorus parts, bridges and all that and get all the benefits of learning production skills as you do it. I feel maybe if you took this approach here it might benefit the idea. Take the cool riffs and changes, sounds and any midi instruments and effects and rearrange it but shorten it up. Just my 2 cents. :)
Much Much better, now everything fits in it's place. Now you can experiment with the percussion and bringing the drama up. and then the drop to just the pad and rebuild the whole thing. even think about a key change at the end, the ideas are endless.

Ever heard of Ennio Morricone? He composed many of the songs for Italian director Sergio Marone.
That's who this now reminds me of. Cutting edge, alternative sounding,
not pop, ready from prime time. These drums work, and you're hearing the payoff. Great job. I've marked this as a fave. BRAVO.
Had to google him. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, maybe my favorite movie music ever. The movie was worth watching just for the music. Thanks for mentioning me in the same breath! He seems to combine classical with pop music in a good way.
Hey Neuromance that is a sold chunky track right there you have done a good job of this for sure. Nice mixing clear as a bell i loved the arrangement too cool guitar my fav instrument. best regards Robbie.
Glad you liked it! I added a bass that you can't even hardly hear, but it seems to add some chunkiness, also landr.com is my friend. I too like how the bells and the Guitar compliment each other. It kind of gives the guitar an extra kick.
I think it all sounds great. I think this piano and guitar go together well. My only complaint is that there is a really distracting hi-hat tssit in there throughout that is a little loud. Maybe thats what you wanted, but for me it's distracting. Makes me think of a jet of air being let out of a tire. Could just be me though, but I wanted to throw my 2 cents in. Otherwise I love the grove man!
Dude that wasn't my track, that was some teenagers letting the air out of your tires! :) Nah I didn't like it either. I quieted it way down. Clear your cache and let me know if it sounds better.
Okay, I hope you take this with the spirit in which it's being given. I agree with Cru and Danke. The guitar is in a different time signature than the drums. The piano comes in, but it strikes me as a cool sequencer piece, where technology, and not someone playing manually, has been inserted.
That's not to say that this body of work isn't creative. Let me also say, that I commend you for having the courage to upload your work in progress (I'd suggest since this isn't royalty free, then you may want to change it to no downloads).
Sometimes stepping away and coming back to a piece can give a fresh perspective. I wish you all the best. May I also ask, what style of music has your heart? What genre is your passion when you create?
You ask which genre is my passion when I create? Clear your cached files and I'll show you my genre! :) J/k that line is just a tip of the hat to an old friend of mine. You were right about the drums, sometimes you have to kill your darlings to move forward.
Thanks. That gave me the confidence to move forward with this one instead of the other. I liked the guitar better in this one, but you're right, the piano chords just didn't go with it. I think it is much improved without the piano chords.
Thanks... I felt the same thing, but was so focused on making the guitar sound decent that I overlooked that. It sounds best just to rip out the paino chords all together, don't you think?

Sounds great but I do have a problem with the repetition.
Doesn't belong in this kind of music.
