Another awesome retro anthemic tune you two have done here!
I love the eighties, and as danke mentioned, the synth bass is very eighties in it's sound. There's nothing wrong with that. I think this could go beyond pop with some real instruments and pop vocals!
As someone who plays both synth and real bass, I can fully understand the value of electronic bass. So don't worry about it. Sometimes one element can make all the difference in the completion of a composition.
You could end up with a great album out of these recent tracks, I think, so I hope you do just that. Fave!
definitely a good track...synths are cool enough, except the first one, it sends the track back to the 80's (which of course, wouldn't be a critique, depends on what you wanna hear...)
the middle is a classic EDM part...
Her girl friends father has a restaurant so I wanted to have a free (fell from sky) pizza but oops he is winning !
I may break my till to find some money :(
I hate money and spendin money every thing must be free for everyone
Die with money
Thanks for dropping hopeful words on my board

the best part in your track for me is between 2:56 until the end. Before this part, i dislike the synth line. I don't talk about the piano riffs which are really good.
i didn't find the guitar sound. I just hear a bass guitar, may be i'm too old to recognize an instrument now? lol
i think, if i follow my own taste, you should re work the synth part. It sounds like an old game from the eighties :)
i hope you won't be hurt by my comment! criticisms are made to upgrade ;)
Hey Bleep
I love criticism and I believe your words. I think you mean it should have been an octave lower and thats exactly what I realized after creating ... so its completely ok and right to me.
Time is money but I must spend my money in another way ... so I dont have enough time to create a big project ... I just empty my mind on my DAW and render it. As you know it dont work right always ...
Im working on a bomb ! So I promise you the next track is better than this one ...
This is soooooo hard. The track is put together really well, and I love all the synth lines. But that bass! If you're saying the bass guitar was by someone named Ash, then I gotta vote for the bass. It's the foundation for the song and its killer, especially in the beginning and the end.
Much as I like keyboards . . . a good bass line gets me up and dancing.
My vote is for the bass.
Ow ... thanks ... I dunno what you mean, the bassline or the starting guitar ?!
If you mean startin guitar so thats ash ...
And if you mean the basslines thats me ...

Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
