Description : It's a jazzy song that I made when I woke up early in the morning. I don't know what the genre is, but it has some trap, vaporwave/chillwave and jazz influences.
Edit: Also! Thanks to miles200 for uploading his piano loop sample called "jazz it up piano only 2"

If you have time take a listen and give Allochtune some feedback.
It seems apparent while listening that you are also a morning person, and I am happy to hear that in your music! I am really enjoying this audio journey! Pleasing and playful! When you replied - "I like convincing people and composing music is just a different way of convincing people." - You essentially spoke my mind for me. This is how I feel a lot of the time. Often, music and art seem to be the only legal methods of "convincing people." I am slightly envious of your position in The Netherlands, and I wish I could be there, if only for a short time. I fear that this life we know is fleeting, and I am craving experiences of new kinds. You have made an awesome song here, which speaks to me... and I thank you for the DL! Fave!
As you have already noticed, I am a new member of this community. Before I had no plays on for example Soundcloud. People actually listening to the music is amazing, so thank you for listening :)
I also know that feeling, that craving for new experiences. The only way to satisfy that feeling is to actually do something new. For me, that was composing music. But talking to people about their experiences also helps, because in a way you experience the world vicariously. I have another song in this style that I already made. I will be uploading that as well. Normally, I make EDM. So I don't know if there will be a follow up in this style. Thanks for sharing your story, I'm glad I convinced you with my music ;)
Very interesting track, Allochtune! I like the jazzy feel. Nice beat in behind - ties in really well with the piano work. So, you need to tell us. What is it with lawyers in the Netherlands making electronic dance music? Law school must be really different. Over here in Canada, my view always was that law school was specifically designed to beat all the creativity out of you and crush any artistic sensibility that remained. Took me years to recover! :)
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you liked it! To be honest, it is a different kind of creativity, creativity with words. I like convincing people and composing music is just a different way of convincing people.
Law school here probably is quite different, because we don't need to follow other non-legal courses in order to get a law degree. Therefore there isn't really a law school, just studying law at the university! (I assume it works the same in Canada as the US)
At least passion for music is universal :)
I've heard of vaporwave but have no real idea what it sounds like.
Great piano loop and a chilled little beat.
Then a cute little lead with some notable bends in it.
I'd like the drums to be a bit more varied and perhaps build into something more powerful. I think that would make the track feel more powerful. And more interesting. Otherwise, it's good, positive, chilled music. With a hint of jazz from the timing of that piano loop.
Thank you for your comment and for returning the favour! ;) It isn't really vaporwave, just vaporwave inspired. Real vaporwave is much slower, has more reverb and delay! If you google 'macintosh plus' you will find the most famous example.
I agree with you about the drums! For me, it is the most difficult part to give the song that 'oompf'. Thanks a lot for your compliments! I haven't really reached an(y) audience yet, so I am surprised at all the positive reactions that I am getting!
It's great to hear that someone likes my music :)
First time uploading something in this community and I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of listeners and feedback!

Description : Every instrument is performed and recorder live. Piano, double bass, drums.
Instruments Used:
-"WELTMEISTER" upright piano (MADE IN GERMANY in 1938)
-"KAY" upright bass (MADE IN GERMANY somwhere in 1950th)
-TAMA Imperial Star + Pearl OMAR HAKIM snare + Various Ziljian cymbals.
I just put together some old ideas to see if it will work. Some vocals and brass, or guitars is clearly needed. Let me know what you think about it. Tnx
Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...
Description : This is track me and my friend (great jazz, blues musician) done
around this great vocal we acquired.
Lot of hours in it.
I had great fun making it!
Hope you people like it.
Love and peace.
Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.
Description : This track made me just stop working on it and listen to it for enjoyment.
Smooth Mellow funky Jazz. Uses: 0111003-djrumplestiltskin-swung-funk-drum-beat, 0087009-mrroads442-guitar-line, 0072485-michiel555-mellow-funk, 0058934-ferryterry-90-bpm-soprano-sax. Is this Funk or Jazz?
Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
Description : I created a hip hop groove in Logic and decided to duel some Saxophones. I am playing the Baritone sax on the left pan and the Tenor Sax on the right pan.
I added some bells like a boxing match bell to give it a fight drama feel. The hip hop track itself is dope to me. The duel is cool too. Who won?

I think you've certainly captured the essence of 9am streets for sure.
The piano loop is well incorporated throughout.
The subtle pitchbend at times in the melody has great effect.
Well done!
