I love the sound of those guitars!!! Any wonder I've become addicted to building/playing them?! :D I know I have that free album from cigar box nation saved on my music player, can't seem to find the post on there, but I'll upload it to mediafire and share it with you. You tube is loaded with videos of people playing cbgs. Justin Johnson is one amazing player I bet you'd love. Shane Speal is considered the king of them, Samantha Fish (incredibly soulful!) the queen. This tune by Red dog Guitars I love! Nothing like the real raw blues played on handmade instruments. :D Check out the site in the description, 3 string dot com for some history and info, fascinating really. I made a 3 string cookie tin guitar for the elementary school I work at now, just need to string it and some minor tweaks to set it up. Hoping to deliver it to the music teacher this week. :p How about Billy Gibbons of ZZ top on one Enjoy :D

p.s. If you do build one they're more addicting than crack!!

I see you already have the Zep comparisons PK...both vocals are well nice...Ocean has great vocal character for this kind of mix (and a lot of others too I guess)....This just kind of floats you along for a great ride...I like the guitars of course...Really superb job my friend...big well done to both of you..I`ll be hitting the fav button when it hits the last note....Ed
Burtsbluesboxes replied 6th Feb 2017 - 7 years ago
Oh yes the great Zeppelin :p I wasn't even thinking of them when recording this. I LOVE Ocean's voice!! The voice of an angel, just like Joan Baez. I know she's on a break pursuing other artistic excursions. I'm making a video for this, floating along like in a dream, great description. Thanks Ed :D You mean the last snore? hahaha Here's some more CBG Albums (not me) for you to enjoy I'm looking for another that's a free download from Cigar box nation(dot)com. My username is the same on there but need to get more current pics up. I gave a way alot of the guitars I've made, kept my favs. I'm getting there, just cleaned up my page here now to get some albums together.

Amazing. I can tell you put a lot of thought into your music - a rare thing in a lot of artists today. Thanks for this.
Burtsbluesboxes replied 6th Feb 2017 - 7 years ago
Thanks Kingmadi, I do put a lot of thought into the music but when I record it's just raw playing, thinking of nothing else. Rare, Sad reality isn't it!

Exceptional collab I would say..! Lazy awesomeness of the track truly bewitched me this time. Aforementioned reminiscences of Led Zeppelin are
in place and the vocals are another highlight! Bravo !

Compliments to all involved_____Orlando

How's it going Orlando? :D Transferring my music software onto my new desktop after 4 computers failed this week!! It's ok. they've been ressuscitated many times over. This is one gem I never posted. I'd love to share it with Ocean but deleted my soundcloud account. I'm cleaning up my mess of a page here so there'll be alot more unreleased material to be up over the next month. I know I have another 'pella from her to work with too. Isn't it funny how subconciously our musical influence come through :p Grew up on all those classic bands like the great Zepppelin and many not so well known metal and blues artists.

Amazing. If I was blindfolded I would have guessed Led Zeppelin was playing.Your style is very reminiscent of them. You put this together very well. 10/10
Burtsbluesboxes replied 5th Feb 2017 - 7 years ago
I grew up on Zeppelin and classic bands like them, Thanks Weinerbob. Ocean has an amazing voice! I held off posting this since I was unsure if I wanted to add a bassline, decided the guitar held it's own without the bass. Video in the works.

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.

Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.

Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.

Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."

Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...

Description : So Easter Sunday BeatMaker brought an instrumental Sunrise,it was brilliant, just what the world needed. I've gone and ruined it, I asked if I could do a vocal. So here it is. I'm no Lionel Richie, more Lionel RichTea, but I have a go, and before you ask, no it's got nothing to do with anything in my life, sentimental tosh put together to sound like a life long love story. I wrote this Sunday the wording I like, the singer is rag though :))) incorporated his title into the lyric, wink wink
