What a fun listen! Seriously, I like the bumpiness of the drums and the overall rolling feel I get from the sound. You are a masterful mixer - you made all the sounds work and added some cool effects. You should give singing a second try!

I'm happy that I came across this today! It has the moderately aggressive and rebellious nature which I expect from reggae. Love the synth solo parts! If you need help with vocals, solo or duet, let me know, as this is the sort of thing I would love to get in on! Very pleasing to the ears so far! Total fave!

It's reggae for the rheumatoid sufferers. It has that stiff kinetic feel to it that makes it different and compelling to listen too. Liked.

That made me laugh Cru!
What a description.
I'm 63 years old.
Old before my time with multiple spinal problems and it would seem it's showing in my music.
Made my day.

i like the vibe n this one. Though I think a few more drum rolls in there wouldn't hurt. Unless u were goin for that less complicated catchy vibe then yeah u did it! nice one.

Problem was more I was doing it with vocal lengths in mind that I then failed to do.
Might have another go at the weekend.
Thanks for your time Yung

Very nice approach of reggae...very original but yet still you use teh signature rythm. Bit like dubreggae but with less delay. Definetly a track whic i will listen when the sun is shining and with a cold corona in my hand :p

Yo there Mud.
There's a few longish empty bits not much happening but they were there to accomodate the lyrics which I might try again to put in there.
Thanks mate.

Hey Silverman
I love reggae, and it's a pity you did not sing on it...but great use of those loops. A little bit of singing, maybe even a hook...? A reggae song without mentioning of Babylon is somehow incomplete ;)

BABYLON YOUR QUEENDOM IS FALLING!!!!!
I know what you mean.
It was going to be a fun song about the nischief of drug taking.
It's like a rap and I wrote it in 1980. It's very popular with my kids who are now in their thirties and forties!
Thanksfor your time TEE.
By the way when you here my voice you might not think it such a good idea .... here's an example track three ....

Complicated, and also nice playing with panning, it makes it more complicated, but no more ideas about this types of music

Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : For those times when you feel pushed to one side, unimportant and all the frustration that comes with those relationship scenarios. This time with loops from Flask,Johnny808,mayrln and Tranfer. I am sure there is at least 20% of Reggae, a little bit of Christmas and some electronic in the mix :-) Have Fun :-)

Description : Richard Shekari and I worked on this project earlier this year. I play bass, guitar, banjo, dobro and also sing on this. Richard added a cool harmonica sound and has an amazing voice. I have learned a lot from him, Richard produced this track.

Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!
