I think you have done well as your version works just fine. It's cleanly and well produced though I'm not sure it offers a lot more than the original. It seems to be pretty much the same structure and not much of a different genre from the original.
Same vocal at the same tempo (I think) and that's what I'm really listening to. I guess I'm hard to please and was looking for something quite different or unusual.
You beats are all tight, as are your synths so you can be very happy with this working as another version.

Actually I had the same problem you are suggesting with my song. it's more like another version of the song than a remix. and I think that's because I'm a rock composer, not a DJ. so I actually composed another song.
