Listen To This Is Just A Test Jazz Song By Miots At Looperman.com

Description : i actually don't have a title for this one...i made it cause i got my hands on Guitar Rig 3, so i made this song to test it out...this is what i came up with. (it's not jazz, i know...but it is in the end, i think)
i've been told this song could use some vocals, but i suck at writing lyrics and singing, so if anyone would like to add some singing to this tune, please, do...

WOW. Miots man back in town!! Great track and I think you need someone with a "rock" voice to add vocals for the first bit and then mellow out for the jazz part. Here are a few ideas for vocals = "This is just a test. play it close to my chest. no-one need know I'll just keep on smilin' This is just a test, they say just do your best. thing is now I'm slidin' now I'm compromising, I find it's hypnotising. this is just a test?? well I failed and wailed and bled my tears, but keep on hanging on to my fears...(just a few ideas) hope this helps. Keep on making your classic sounds.//

Wow! Great job, great song structure. I would consider this more to be like "power rock/pop". But since you added the "jazz" section at the end, I would've most likely classified it a fusion track. Nonetheless this is a great tune and you've done some great guitar work on this track. Who knows, I may even take a stab at it. D

I wish I had a mic. I can hear the lyrics that I'd put to it. Maybe b/c you've made it easy with such a great arrangement. Wonderful sounds. When someone does the lyrics for you, will you please post it in the forums. I'd love to see how this one turns out. Great job!

The guitar hookes you in right form the start. Its got a nice Alternative/punk sound. I agree that the jazz section doesn't fit real well, It was mixed well. You could easily have two seperate tracks here. Keep it up.

hey man, I'm actually not that much into rock, but this sounds great! If there would be vocals in this track it would have to pontential to become a great track, but it is already one don't get me wrong.
I also love the jazzy part in the end, it's played great and the sound is awesome!
Continue your great work!

Hey man it seems that you've just removed the vox out of it.
its a fantastic arrangement and a complete song, man you done it in a pro way.
the only way to keep jazzy part is if the lyrics and vox supports.
overall i love your work.
Cheers
Rashid

i appreciate everyone's comments about the mix in this track, they're inspiring and encouraging, though i still need practice when working with distorted guitars...i just can't get the right sound out of them...

Very nice sound miots,
Lots of rock and roll in there.
I guess the Jazz part would be better in a song of its own. But for showing off different styles, its fine. I do similar things with my music.

Nice job,
Randy

This is just screamin for a vocal man!! Can hear some top melodies in here!!! Great arrangement and like i said, a vocal would make this song top notch!!

Dont like the jazzy bit tho!! That part would be better in a seperate song of its own!

Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.
