very cool track really like the heavy feel on the track. just my opinion the song needs some cool vocals or just some vocal samples mixed in.

Awesome track Smallbots! Those are some heavy guitars and that drop was sick. The track as a whole seems to incorporate a couple different genres. I enjoyed listening to this. Nice work.

I liked the build up at the beginning and the different parts to the song. You don't hear monks throat chanting often but I think it worked good with the music. Cool track!

Glad you liked it! It took forever to decide on the monks, I tried several other vocal loops but that one seemed to fit the most with the eery feel I was going for

Heyo smallbots, there was a lot of personality in that track man, nicely done. The didgeridoo is always so unique. Now how about that ending lol. Wow! I gotta say that last effect you used was just creepy as hell but so effective, do you mind if I ask how you made that? I also use sinthetic records drum loops on occasion they are a hell of a good source. I used them last in the track "Exit Earth". Cool

Thanks, I think that last bit there is one of my personal favorites. I used the Sinthetic drum loop and layered over it with an industrial bass loop and siren loop. Google "musicradar free loops" and they have like 13,000 free good quality loops of all kinds. I got most of the loops from this song from the industrial metal category. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it!!

Description : Today's six track recording of a live song which I've been practicing for several days. I broke many of my own rules when getting this to the product it is now. Times have been rough around here, with pressure building from all sides. You can feel it in the air, and in all the people. I can only hope that after the US election, some of the pressure releases. All tracks recorded simultaneously - Vocals via my 100 Proof Microphone, Monotribe, Beatstep, two modular synth tracks (one beatstep controlled and one by my four step sequencer), Zoom RT-123, 2xKawa circuit bent drum box, Boss RV-3 reverb/delay.

Description : This if the final mix for all the instrumentation. And yes we're breaking quite a few conventions here. I like my diminished scales.

Notes:
Tempo:85
Meter:12/2 (mostly)
key:A locrian (mostly)
took a whole year and around 200 audio tracks to nail this

Description : My grandmother was from Belarus. She was the lone survivor of her family after the Waffen SS massacred everyone in her village during a retreat from the Red Army. She escaped soviet occupied Belarus & through a series of wranglings by the international red cross, found a family to adopt her in New Jersey in 1947. She was 14 years old then. She was the strongest person I ever knew & I miss her terribly. This song is for her.

Description : Hello all, finally got around to polishing this track, which came from a collab with FarM (known on here as honkytonk). He provided me with some drum and bass work, and I came back with a demo that was essentially what you are hearing now. I just fixed the tuning and some pops at transitions. The tuning basically thwarted our collab I think, because without really remembering I played the guitar parts tuned to 432 Hz *** http://csglobe.com/music-conspiracy-to-detune-us-from-natural-432-hz-harmonics/ ***
and left all the other instruments at 440 Hz as a result...heh. Sounded much better after fixing that. Anyway it's got some dubstep and industrial most obviously. Yet another song I unconsciously ripped off from Skinny Puppy. Thanks for taking a listen! You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are... Description : I made this track using my own DAW - the software is based on the php programming language and the SoX utility for linux.

Description : I recorded this song several weeks ago, live in studio. It was a very spontaneous reaction to some experiences and interactions only an hour or so before.

I recorded the audio tracks, as well as a video on my old digital camera. The video has been up on youtube for a while:

https://youtu.be/mu6Yf1OJixo

This was recorded with my 100 Proof microphone, Eat Lead Copper modular synth, Breaking Blue tabletop synth, modified Yamaha DD-20, and Zoom RT-123.

In the last couple of days, I finally got around to mixing the audio I had recorded into a better quality rendition. The stems were used as is, simple being mixed a bit and mastered.

Have fun listening!

Description : Here is a new Spivkurl track for all of you to check out! My thought process interprets this as industrial gothic, but it's open to external interpretation. This song's sounds were almost entirely sampled from equipment which I hand soldered, whether it be synthesizer builds or circuit bending. The lead vocals were recorded with the new microphone which I built in the past few days, and I'm happy with the way it interacts with my voice. In fact the only piece of gear used that I didn't build was the microphone for the hook vocals... and they are meant to be unintelligible, as they were recorded spontaneously with a patch I called a Spivocoder (on my modular synth). Uptempo and aggressive, it's definitely my sort of industrial. Please give me your opinions if you have the time! Thanks!

Description : Updated 6 May 2017 - I took a bit of advice from OViea91 in order to enhance the reverb field of the vocals, and I also worked to tame some harsh high end in order to allow the low frequencies and dynamics to shine through more. I think it is an improvement. Downloads allowed now! 21 April 2017 - Here is my latest song, which begin from two directions at once. The lyrics began as a sort sentence written on a calendar photograph, and the music began as my entry to the FL studio "Sytrus Only" competition. I finished the vocals completely freestyle, using my DIY 100 proof microphone. All of the sound design is still the original entry, and thus uses only the Sytrus plugin on FL studio. The arrangement barely changed from the original instrumental (to accommodate the vocals), but the mixing and mastering was updated slightly (since the competition did not allow any effects at all). Being observant can be a real bitch sometimes when you're out there in the world, though sometimes an idea like this can be the flip side of the coin. The song also started me thinking about the literal difference between "Earth" and "World." One seems specific, and one general... though I think that the generalisation can add to the longevity of the relevance of an idea such as this. Thank you for listening!

Description : Not really 'industrial' although some aspects might fit with the genre...generally robots and stuff...hehe...and a hint of heavy metal is also there...:)

Description : This track I made 2 years ago and I found it now ocasionally, so, yeah, I'm posting it here...

Description : This is one sexy track. Bordering NeuroFunk.. I made this heavily sleep deprived and exhausted within a few hours.. Getting to grips with mixing again, how is it on your end? I'm also feeling some tom toms in the intro.. Maybe.. Best enjoyed with headphones :)

Description : The results of one of my most intense recording sessions to date. I don't think I've explored a single key this deeply ever before. (G minor for those of you wondering) I pulled out my old Epiphone Les Paul, which I've rebuilt and customized over the years. Typed the original lyrics for the song on a couple text message drafts in my phone, then expanded upon them. Has some dubstep elements which are obvious, but it's at a higher tempo. So I guess there's some gothic and industrial in there too. Thanks for taking a listen! You can get the new Spivkurl album "Charting The Anomaly," which includes this track at the We Are...
