Description : Whilst remixing an older song I did discover Purpl from Bristol here in the Acapella section. She was also looking for a remix and now I merged both songs together. It was a pleasure to do because it feels like a positive song lifting up the mood. Hope she is Ok with putting her into a different genre. And yes, the kick is a bit cheesy :-)

Description : My take on Wu-Tang Forever by Drake. This was such a classic song. How 40 made those drum will be something I will always appreciate dearly. I can't wait for the new Drake album coming out soon. Of course it's just my take of how I imagined the production should have turned out. At the end of the day, all credit is due to Drake and 40!
This is certainly not my kind of style but I think it's well done so thought I should let you know.
I think of it more as jazz than r'n'b, not that it really matters.
Actually, maybe you mean original r'n'b rather than the modern version.
The horns are probably my favourite part (eg those entering at about 1:10). How did you do those?
Guitar is smooth and drums sit well. I guess everything does, actually.
Flute sounds better the second time when you stick some reverb on it.
2:07 vocal with reverb. I don't think adding that reverb there works. Maybe it's the wrong type of reverb, maybe it sounds too much like a spot effect in what otherwise sounds like a fairly tight live track.
Are the vocals recorded with a pop shield? I'm thinking maybe not as I can hear a few little mouth openings and pops though nothing terrible.
4:29 there's definitely an awkward transition - a real jump so hope you can fix that.
Otherwise, really good stuff that people into this sort of thing will enjoy.
Great work, much respect!
Cheers,
Franco & Scott

Thank you for your comment. All is fine with me, just been kind of busy. Please don't misunderstand...I think you are a wonderful guitarist, but I don't comment on everything I listen to. Your style is very complicated and it sometimes escapes me. You may be too advanced for my ears, but I do listen to all the tracks I see by you. Please don't be upset if I listen but don't comment.
Cheers,
Scott
