Some busy weeks behind me, sadly still a few ahead.

hey, thanks :)
i remotely know who steve reich is but it is safe to say i am not very familiar with his work.
i am happy you felt the vibes and thanks for letting me know, always appreciated.
This is a fantastic musical achievement doudei...Its one of those special pieces of music your mind just gets burried in and you hardly notice the special things that happened to make it work like it does...Kudos to everyone involved in the tracking, mixing & mastering process...a really fine piece of work folks...but...having said that...the music still has to be extra good toi be this special...and it is...thoughtfully composed/structured.and..skilfully played...You should definitely take a bow...great job...fav....Ed
thanks for your kind-hearted words, Ed. i am thrilled by them as always. truly appreciate the appreciation and happily take a bow my friend!
excuse the late response, i have been very inactive. i am currently suffering from slightly excessive workloads at my place of employment.
the feedback from all you guys is amazing though and fills me with pleasant anticipation about making music again soon.
cheers!
What a wonderful atmosphere.
This is a beautiful example of how different sounds can be mixed together producing a track that really touches the soul of the listener.
Loved.
Ciao, Domenico

Awesome!! just such a special and brilliantly made and produced track, nothing to fault, I was sold from the first bar. Well done, and I would love to play this on my loopradio show if you would let me.
Oh my flippers! The sounds you created is amazing! I'm in love with this song. It's like being in paradise! Well done Sir, Brilliant work! You had to spend sometime working on this beauty.
Keep up the amazing work, songs like this one, wins people grammy awards!
wow, thanks for the kind comment. i'm glad you think it's that awesome!
can't say how much time i spent on this in total. i'd say a few dozen hours spread over a handful of weekends with not enough sleep :)
Right now I hate my headphones!!!
Would so want to listen to this on decent speakers - there is so much going on in the soundscape and the mastering is excellent.
A very enjoyable piece, work of art, really.
thank you very much and sorry about your headphones :(
yes my friend Ray did a great job with the mastering, i am impressed. i literally sent him a 4.2GB zip with 45 wav stems and he mastered them without turning a hair and in an incredible speed an accuracy. i will forward all the love to him for sure!
Damn - you trying to make tracks as long as mine?
Gotta get well past 10 mins for that!
In all seriousness, this is great. I liked it right from the start, as I was sure I would.
Cool vocals.
1:21 second high vocal that gets repeated is also fun and powerful - reminds me of something like happy hardcore (something I haven't really heard in years).
When the guitar comes in, you're really mixing up the genres but in a very natural sort of way.
2:28 good break from the drums - comes just at the right time.
This is damn classy stuff. Some Orbitalesque arpeggiated synths now. Very gentle and melodic. Great bass movement. Everything sits nicely.
One of the classiest things I've heard on here for a while. Sounds like it could go on forever.
You're really reminding me of myself here though it's got quite a different vibe and some sounds I don't use.
Gentle reintroduction of beat around halfway.
This is stuff very much inspired by dance music but so much more musical than most of it.
Not a great deal changes towards the end but I think shall do some point-by-point commentary for the second half as this deserves it.
Great work that a lot of people will really enjoy!
as always it's great to hear your thought and detailed sentiments.
i am flattered you called those orbitalesque synth arps, because i admire orbital since the first time i head "In Sides".
especially "the girl with the sun in her head" was like an epiphany. also the 28 minute version of "the box" has moment i will always want to relive.
before that i didn't like electronic music much, except maybe emerson on a moog or yamaha heh
but then art of noise blew me away, still does really. after that nothing ever cam quite as close =)
cheers man, appreciated!
right now i am at 17:00 and it's even better than i remembered. didn't know about this edit until some years ago. hell yeah, brilliant really. needs to be checked out more often...
Fist and foremost what beautiful mastering of this tune. It sounds gorgeous. Secondly What a nice concept musically as well. You made a fantastic tune. I love the female vocals. great job all around. the guitar is subtle and yet so perfect in this song.
Steve
thanks for your nice compliment steve! my friend Ray programmed the vocals (kontakt instrument), i was also impressed how they sound.
glad you enjoyed it, cheers :)
NINE MINUTES And TWENTYTHREE SECONDS OF SHEER EXCELLENCE! This is clearly one of my new favs without a doubt. Great Composition, Great Arrangement, Great Mixing and a overall Wonderful, Imanginative, Musical-Tapestry of sound. Bravo, my friend, Bravo!
i am shocked (in a good way) by your commendatory comment.
it made my day, or rather night - thanks a lot man.
i see you have also a taste for many interesting music styles and i appreciate that a lot.
nice basses you got there, bass was also my first instrument although sadly i have to say i don't play it much anymore.
just been listening to some of your tunes and enjoyed them.
and really great voice that you got there.
please let me know when you have some new tracks or maybe even wanna do something together someday.
cheers and thanks again

Description : It is an elegy, in a modern world. There is fuss and there are sentiments. All together create a scenery where life takes place.
I really hope you like it.
Description : Now on youtube: youtu.be/0RYfA4iCsSA, soon out on my upcoming album "Step by Step"!
==============
Inspired by a track of Pseudoble. I was noodling along to his track "I wish I didn't know" (which is awesome) and had the words "Snow in Athens" in my head. This with the smooth jazz/fusion atmosphere led me to this track with a sort of Steely Dan feel.
Description : This track is built around the repetitive lead guitar line which I have previously incorporated as an intro for the rocker track "Sweetheart Runner" by LM user TinyFinger whom I have helped in arranging, mixing and producing his song. This extended session was a good oportunity to test some new equipment....Thanks to Tiny for not being mad about it...:)^^
Description : Psychedelic blues hip hop with lead banjo and acoustic resonator slide guitar. Acoustic drum kits, fat basslines, soaring filtered strings, some strong Eastern elements (from guitar and strings), some dub and funk from the bass and drums and a bit of rocking electric guitar. Very unusual piece of music and a trip like no other I've heard. Some of it is like a dark, deep Southern delta blues track over a hip hop and dub backing. All played and programmed by me, no loops used.
After a quite turbulent long travel we’ve reached a totally unknown planet which is mostly covered with clouds. As we pass over it we can see parts of rivers through the clouds that come out of the dark rocky surface in some places. So the whole scene is alternating textures of white, dark gray and silver flashes. Unfortunately there’s no chance to land anywhere so we just pass, wonder and travel on …
Description : I had to go in on this track. This is a future bass, electrofusion song. I posted the full version here full the Looperfam because you guys give me sooooo much support. I can never thank you all enough.
Description : A spoopy song, early for Halloween. This was a collaboration with Micky, who did most of the work.
A musical realization of a poem by Thomas Hardy
Idea: Spearcarrier
Voices: Spearcarrier & Micky
Music: Micky
Genre: We don't know yet. Suggestions welcome. LOL
Description : Messing around with my midi keyboard (I am no pianist as you will hear). Just a bunch ideas put together with guitar and keys. Don't miss the end :-) it shows the obvious lack of inspiration to find a decent ending of the so called musician! This track is work in progress all ideas are welcome!
in there.
Brilliant piece anyway!
are you listening to steve reich by the way?
