Description : A very retro style funk/jazz tune featuring allot of old school instruments, i.e. B3 Hammond organ, wah wah guitar, and lots of funk horns. I'd love to hear what you think.

Ok Scott Im definitely loving that Farfisa toned organ. Vocals are fire as well as that brass with the BARI! That trumpet solo is over the top! Nice one! Peace.
Glad you tracked this one down. Always look forward to your comments of my tracks. Yep, love my oldies and since they don't make new oldies anymore, I have to create them myself!
And wishing you a prosperous and melodic New Year as well!
This is so cool, absolutely love the funky vibe you have here. Great bass, sweet guitar, LOVE the LALALA's!!!! Some nice musicianship and song construction, all the instruments get their moment in the sunshine in some way. Great horn tracks, you play?
Thanks allot, Wayne. I really appreciate your kind words. Unfortunately, I can't find much of todays music that I like enough to put in my collection, so I love creating music that sounds like it is not from the last few decades. I guess you know your getting old when you say, 'today's music just aint what it use to be!'
what do i think.em well i love it my friend. really nice vibe and the vocals really compliment the style with all those drum roll offs just adding depth and character. nice
Thanks allot, Cosmic. Glad you like my track. I don't think I've heard from you before, so I appreciate you chiming in and hitting me up with your kind words.
Well....you up an went funky on us in the very best of ways Scott...Haha...this is great stuff man...just the kind of uplifting listening that gets a smile going & the parts moving...70s were absolutely great funk years...although I would have to confess I hadn`t heard it until James E Brown (The Godfather) hit the airways...& how could you not love what was going on....I a big B3 organ fan since Green Onion days (yeah I`m that old)..haha...super job on this one Scott....Best of the season to you...Ed
Hey, Ed, always a pleasure to hear from you and reading your kind words. Yeah, I think the majority of my music collection is made up of the 70's. Don't feel bad...Green Onion and other Booker T and the MGs songs are sitting proudly in my collection, and who, of our age, doesn't like The Godfather!
Super cool track here! I'm loving the wah guitars very much, and I can't get enough vintage organ, so this does it for me! Definitely an uplifting vibe! I think it would be funny to fill out the lyrics tab with "La la la la" or something like that... he he... Each part of the song has it's own vibe, which I like. Very good mixing on this one too, it sounds pretty vintage! Sweet track!
Thanks, Spivkurl. That is exactly what I was going for. I love that old 60's and 70's sound and instruments. I will be doing much more of this stuff in the future, in between the Latin/jazz stuff I do with Franco.
I took your suggestion about adding the la la's to the lyrics tab...Thanks!
You are right, Danke. I didn't notice the similarity to the Status Quo song, but now that you mention it, it does have that same sound. I guess it's a tremolo sound? You would know better, but it was that 60's sound that was used allot back than. I love the fact that I can create old music, today. I'm so glad you and a few others here feel the same way. I think if an actual band did this, they would find they could make some good bucks!
Great title too. So nice to hear drumming like that (excellent toms!) and good structure. Solo (2.55) is so full of life! The only thing is I was feeling like a bridge was missing (2 other chords repeated to get us back to the G / F / C / Bb) but the breaks are perfectly placed and lovely 1960's 'stereo recording' (hard left / right instrument panning for those lucky people with 'stereo' record decks!).
Top work, beautifully recorded and just...full of happy.
Thanks allot, Maff. I really appreciate your kind words. I always wondered if anyone else remembered the hard left and right panning of the early days. I have thousands of the early stuff and sometimes it's hard to get a good sound with today's hi tech equipment.
Merry Christmas!
Scott

Description : 'Love will find you at the right time'...This track is about how we vibrationally attract love. From my recollection, in the early 20s/teen years, a typical place to encounter this wonderful force was the Disco. (Kay)

Description : This is another Jazz/Funk composition. My brother on the Loop, BaoBou was kind enough to grace this track with his fire on guitar. Also, as a result of his contribution, I got inspired and added even more funk into the mix. Enjoy.
Description : This is kinda like a funky electro acoustic type thing. Definitely our funkiest piece yet, trying to explore a few different genres here, hopefully you enjoy it! :)
Description : Another one of the older tracks I'm gradually pulling out of storage to rework. For this little funk thing, I played a new bass, added some extra sounds, and remixed and remastered the whole thing. I hope you enjoy it.

Description : Continuing my journey with sampling. This was mostly an accident, and not where I originally thought it would go but I'm happy with the destination. I started with the track Real Reel Switcher by Eunice Russ Frost, which has a slower melancholy swing to it, however I've been playing a bunch of older video games lately, with SSX being in the mix heavily, so this track ended up taking on a bit of that for inspiration as well. Would love your thoughts.
