Description : Hi there! I'm here again after a long time! I've been really busy. The university takes all my time. Anyway. I'm here with my last "composition". Well, it's just a variation of the Canon in D major by Pachelbel. I called it "The Pachel's Heart", 'cause I used scales, like the beats of a heart. Ahm, I don't know anything about music theory, so... this song is a total mess! xD Ah! Sorry for the terrible quality. I didn't know how to fix it. This melody was made in Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium. I hope you like it! Thanks! SUN & MOON... FIRE & ICE HEART... LIGHT & DARK FUSION...

Wow real nice! i see what you were talking about, its kinda romantic and its filled with hapiness, lol, otherwise love your concept! but it required a bit of mixing with the sounds and to me some of the key tones needed jus a slight tweakin in my opinion. but GOOD JOB! well done!

Sorry for the late reply... I hadn't read it.
Well, I have no a midi keyboard, so, you can figure that I made this melody, note by note, with the mouse.
For that reason I failed with the velocity.
    Thanks very much for listening.

Ok, now your tugging at the heart strings. This is one of my favorite classical pieces. In fact, I did a version of it in March, 2012. I uploaded it to my collab site temporarily.

A little advise...You are going to get a bunch of the so called 'pros' telling you that you should do this, or do that. Screw them all! The only way you will lean is by doing. Of course you don't know what they are talking about...They are trying to impress you with big tech words. Just have fun and learn as you go. The piece of the link I included here is terrible, in my opinion, but I have learned much since than.

    Anyway,

    Cheers,
    Scott

Well, I guess you are right, maybe in some way; but I think that if there are people who know about this stuff (music), it would be good to learn a little from they.
And... about your Canon's version... well... I listened, and I like the strings and the piano solo :)
Anyway, I'm glad that you took your time to write a comment. It's significative to me.
    Thanks for listening! :D

    Hi Soleil,
You got already a lot of compliments here, and I can only add that you deserved all of them!
The song is "simple" but you already show good taste.
    Keep going girl!

Thank you very much for your words. And, well, I guess you're right about you tell. Until some time ago, there were things that were forbidden for women. I think they still exist. The thing is, I'd really like to learn music. You know, with a teacher, with someone who really knows of music.
Anyway, I'll keep practicing in the way I can.
Thanks for listening and comment! :D

But I'm sure that all is about practicing.
    Practicing makes the master.
    Thanks again.

I know this melody is a little sickly sweet, but this is the first try of a song made by myself entirely.
I hope I can make more.

    Beautiful!
Really enjoyable - I'm hoping you get more time for music soon, although studies are perhaps more important for the moment (mom speaking =) ).

Yes, I guess you and she (my mom) are right. And, I'm not saying that I'm uncaring about my studies. Actually I'm concentrating very much in them. I haven't had much time for art these weeks. The thing is, my mom thinks that art is a waste of time. She doesn't understand that art makes me feel alive. So, I can compose only in my free time.
Well, thank you for listening and comment! :D

i thought i heard a harp - or was that still the piano at 2:17? we can learn a lot about harmony and styles by doing "tribute" pieces like this. it is a beautiful job. I did a "tribute" to Alban Berg (German 12-tone composer). It is called "12 tones in the Day" if you want to check it out. best of luck with your studies. keep sharing your music! cheers. Dan

    SoraSolitudine
    Reply by SoraSolitudine

    Yes, that was a harp.
Well, this song was only the first try. Pachelbel's Canon is one of the easiest pieces, so, it's not hard to learn the note pattern.
Maybe I could make my own songs. But it will take a long time, I guess...
I'll listen your track right now.
Thanks for listening and comment! :D

Beautiful :D Being such a metalhead when I was younger I never thought I'd have such an appreciation for such beautiful classical music that I have now :D Keep up the good work! Music theory is great and not as intimidating as it looks. After e few lessons it all starts to come together and make perfect sense. It's so easy it's sickening :O

Thanks for your words! But... music is really difficult to learn. Well, it's difficult to me.
I can hear entire songs in my head, but I can't write them. I have no the knowledge.
So... I only do what I can.

Lovely rendition of a suberb piece. My only feedback as to the quality is that it sounds that all notes are playing at the same velocity (loudness) which takes away dynamic range and touch. This can happen if you are using keyboard that is not touch sensitive or using the DAW interface. Try adjusting the velocity of individual notes to add more contrast to the sound. Also if you have an EQ on the master try EQing out the very top range 16,000 khz +
    Keep up the good work
    Steve

At first, thanks for listening and comment. I really appreciate it.
Well, I know nothing about music, I've never studied it, so... it's hard to me trying to understand what you mean with your comment.
I only "made" the song with the software. I have no more instruments/tools to make a better work.
I can't afford for music classes, my mom doesn't like that I "waste my time" with art.
I've tried to learn in internet, with no success. It's necessary a teacher.
I really thank you the criticism. I'll try to improve. I promise.
Thanks again for listening and comment.

Description : Hi, I just had to try and do my own type of music tribute to the sad and unfortunate events in Manchester the other night

I start the song off with a type of music box to represent like a young child and then i go into a violin strings to try and set the sadness and then after a while i used some soft drum and clicks to represent time ticking and then with just the piano and then in the middle of the track it picks up pace a bit and i decided on this because to represent the strength of the people that will stand strong and i once again also put the music box in with this and my reason was to be strong for the rest of the children and then i finsh up with the piano again and the ending on the drum to remember the lives sadly lost and a type of silence if it were

i really feel so sadened by this event and it trully has me in bits

may we all come together and forever be strong and stand up to these horrible people who think they can destroy us and our children and families and loved ones

God Bless you all and stay safe and be strong

Description : Simple piano solo I wrote last weekend at about 3am! It's just using the default Garageband piano instrument with some reverb. Played on my M-Audio Keystation 61es in one take - yes I could have tidied it up bit its more honest leaving it as is.

I plan to create an orchestral version of this soon. Anyone got ideas to collaborate and do something interesting with this then get in touch.
