Nice beat, yeah the bass kinda reminds me of benga as was said before! Personally i would like the bass slightly more dirty but maybe thats just me! :) Really wish i could use massive with reason, i know you can get some sick sounds out of it! Anyway great job, nice old skool dub!

DonnieVyros 12th Jan 2009 01:33 - 17 years ago

The initial synth sequence reminds me of a chain being beat against a wrestling mat (or a really rusty trampoline). I don't think I've ever heard dub-step before. The way this sounds kinds reminds me of a mix between Ghetto-tech, Glitch, and Drum&Bass. Or like a mix between Mr.Ozio and Ming+FS (with some slight hints of Photek squeezed here and there). Thanks for sharing, I'm thinking this genre'll grow on me just like Trip-hop has. Lates!

i like it alot i feel it could be slightly dirtier, the bassline is really clean. but its still a good song :)

jordanwilliams 1st Oct 2008 23:14 - 18 years ago

big bassline !! good work man inspired

Birdy 21st Sep 2008 22:33 - 18 years ago

Very nice.. love the way youve given to drums chance to be heard. bassline is sick and the synths just compliment it. great job

Planetjazzbass 16th Sep 2008 15:44 - 18 years ago

I love this place...now I know what Dub is...there's an excellent separation of sounds here and they compliment each other perfectly..the slight staccato rhythmic cadence would be incredible under a strobe light and gives rise to an almost Eastern beat just under the surface and at the periphery.......fantastic new age music!....cheers planet :)

DougieDJ replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Thanks man...I'm glad it's been so well received...I don't even really listen to the genre...thanks for the review man!

krunchie 15th Sep 2008 11:54 - 18 years ago

sounds like you nailed it pretty good.

Thanks...glad you like it!

skyrider 14th Sep 2008 06:58 - 18 years ago

Hey splish, to be honest this is not really my scene but I like listening to all music. What I like is that you give the track room to breath. It fills out with some quirky sounds. nice job. mik

DougieDJ replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Thanks man...actually one of the sounds reminds me of the old classic R-Type on the Super Nintendo (Famicom)...cool sounds...

Description : For some odd reason, the titular acapella I used for this remix had vanished from Looperman. Luckily, I saved it before it disappeared.

Anyway, props to Stephanie Kay for this acapella! I've always wanted to remix Stars Collide, but I never got around to finally making a good instrumental for it. The acapella was akin to that of Genki Rockets' work (ESPECIALLY the lyrics), so I tried to retain the same vibe. Enjoy!

Description : This is a worship song celebrating God's beautiful creation, unfailing grace, and boundless love. It reflects on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the gift of salvation, and the light of God that shines even in the deepest darkness. It is a reminder to rise each day with gratitude and give praise to the One who saves, guides, and sustains us.
