very nice track, great use of this pella, I really enjoyed listening to this. Good beats...sort of a cross between big-beat and trip-hop almost Red-Jerry like in some ways. Good stuff

Hi mate, thanks for stopping by. Yes sometimes the hardest part is trying to genre the track. Thanks again!

Sick. I like it a-lot.

MisterBloodworth 31st Oct 2013 11:42 - 12 years ago

This has a bit of an old school feel. The beat is laid back and chill. The vocals were matched with the song pretty accurately. There were only a few parts where there is a slight delay, but overall, this was great. Great work, SP and JJ.

Hi mate, thanks for review. Yes JJ has a unique vocal style. I was lucky to be able to work her pella into a track that I had been working on and it seemed to blend well.

dansjoy4 7th Sep 2013 01:37 - 13 years ago

This is great mate. Reminds me a little of Paul Oakenfolds stuff with a little bit of massive attack.
Brilliantly mixed and good job with the vocal.
Love it.

Hi mate thanks for review, glad you enjoyed.

StaticNomad 11th Aug 2013 07:08 - 13 years ago

Great vibe on this one though I really disagree that it's trip-hop in the way that I know the genre. I guess there's a little bit of a hip hop vibe and it's a bit of trip but I suppose the genre name doesn't really matter.

The way you do those drums with the delay on them makes it a bit closer to something like big beat. I would have preferred a bit more variation from the drums as I think they get a bit too repetitive. Maybe different programming/loop or just different treatment of those same drums.

The vocals are good. So, who is JJ Weekz?

smallpaul replied 11th Aug 2013 - 13 years ago

Hi mate, yes I struggled with the genre for this track, Big beat sounds a bit more like it. Its not too far from the original and I made sure JJ was happy with the final sound.
I'm pretty sure everyone on the loop has heard of JJ weekz!? I posted a link to her profile, be sure to check it out. Thanks for review.

Tight track smallpaul! It has a great groove to it. Awesome job using JJ Weekz pella. Everything blended very well together. The production sounds on point too. Truly nice work.

Great use of JJ's vocals. I dont often listen HipHop but this is really good.

smallpaul replied 10th Aug 2013 - 13 years ago

Hi Steve thanks for review. Its not Hiphop in the conventional sense, but I struggled to find a genre for this track. It would certainly fit into the Triphop genre if we had one. Regards Paul.

Electronic gothic track.
When I heard this acapella by ALAA EZZEDDINE I was really impressed. Ok, did lots of tweaking to make it sound properly and fit in the track. Actually his lyrics described what I have had gone through...
Enjoy and take care :) :) :)
