This does sound like a new style! You've used the banjo in a very creative way! Very trippy music! I really like this! I'd fave it if I could!

Thanks, I only wish more people could get a grasp on what I do with a banjo. I actually invented a modification to a standard 5-string banjo that has two hum buckers mounted through the drum-head... I named it "Heavy Metal Banjo" and as far as I can tell I guess I was the first person that could figure a way to play hard distortion on the banjo, yest with almost no feedback. Since those years others have said they did it first, but for some reason some pre-date their videos etc... at least 5 to ten years I first posted the hard rock style in the 90's. For now I am happy not going that way any longer.

Thanks again!

Hey there DoctorMood....Couldn't pass this title by without a listen..interesting composition!...The banjo has attracted a disproportional amount of detractors over the years and I suspect this has more to do with it's presumed social affiliations than any sound it ever produced....It's great to see somebody injecting a new slant on an instrument that's been the backbone and sometimes virtuoso voice of many styles of music....cool stuff!and hope to hear more...cheers Planet ..Oh,and Welcome to Looperman! :)

DoctorMoodMusic replied 13th Dec 2011 - 14 years ago

Thanks for your kindness Planet. I have spent years in the past trying to make the freakiest sound out of the banjo, it's really the only instrument I can play on. Thanks again!

Description : I wanted to create something dark and romantic with an RnB and retro wave touch. This song has a retro futurism feel to it. I was inspired by The Weeknd when I was writing this song, especially his first mixtape, House Of Balloons, hence the deep roamntic analogies in the songwriting. I have sung this song myself and produced it too. No AI used here. This is an old song.

Description : For sure my biggest Industrial rock project this year, and it's finally finished. Man, I had a whale of a good time producing this. If you like metal and energy, hopefully this hits home.
