Description : I think this is Drum and Bass. It sounds like it to me. Please correct me if you think otherwise. Thing is it's only 90BPM ! Is that too slow to be D & B ? I started off this track by messing about with some synth sounds. I wanted to produce something atmospheric & moody sounding. Once I had done that I kinda knew how I wanted the drums & percussion to sound. When I had began to find them I thought - Hmmmmmmm Drum & Bass sounding to me. By the time I had put the vocals on (some loops from an EJay D & B disc collection) and added some extra bass I had ended up with this. I'm pleased with it as I like it and I think it works ok. Not brilliant but ok (maybe a bit more melody somewhere along the line). The mix may need a tweak here & there, please advise me on that if you care to. To be honest I was working on something along the lines of a chilled type Prodigy track & I seem to have ended up with a Goldie type track. Anyway enough of my ramblings. I used AcidPro's awesome arabic darbuka and arabic drum loops,Jen`s Muse`s indian tihai for sitar (that thing sounds sublime)and some simple pads and a wobble I made out of a synth
not really drum and bass but it fits the tempo.

Description : Before I start, I'd just like to thank all of the wonderful community members who help me beat my creative block with their advice on my other track. Not only was I able to beat it, but I was also able to gain a little more creative ideas. This will be the first track with a background story. This track takes place in Las Vegas Nevada. A man name John, is an ex drug addict and finds himself playing the slots. When he comes across this blue synthetic drug, just sitting in between two of the slot machines. Not being able to resist, he opens the bag and takes a huge hit. John's body instantly reacts to the drug, causing him to go into full on high mode. John starts kicking the machine he is at, throwing chairs at the machine causing sparks to erupt, evidently finding himself practically burning the casino down. John continues his "high" on the Las Vegas strip. Doing everything from knocking old women down to flashing at the police. Eventually causing John to get surrounded by cops, almost exactly when he starts coming out of his high. As the cops has John surrounded with his hands in the sky, John realizes he has some more drugs left, hanging out of his sleeve, he quickly sniffs the entire packet, causing time to slow down for John. John kicks the garbage on the right of him, hitting on of the three cops right the face. The other two cops then shoots at John, John has an instant reflex action and dodges both of the cops bullets. Before, taking them both down and finally doing some awesome parkour, on his way to his hotel room, to dodge other police. John eventually makes it home, sits on his couch smokes a joint and calls it a night.

I know absolutely nothing about DnB. But I do know great music when I hear it, and this is great music. It's difficult for me to offer any kind of constructive criticism, especially when I enjoyed it so much, so I'll just sit back and sip my coffee and enjoy the song.

I have no idea if this is a sub genre already, but this feels like "chilled" DnB . Very easy on the ears, yet still gives enough of that punch to properly keep the song moving forward. Dope man.. Peace
I agree with wongkishoo (Shit that's Suggestive) about having a snappier kick of the like's. it just need's to be consistant with the beat .. apart from that VSS .. AN ABSALUTE CLASS OF A TRACK Pal. Beautiful Atmosphere with a very wide range of well placed sounds .. Brilliantly Produced VSS. Respect.

I absolutely adore this kind of DnB - I'm guessing you do too otherwise your track wouldn't of ended up like this lol. The best example artist I can think of that does a similar style is LTJ Bukem.... absolutely immense talent. lived a few streets away from me actually ;)
I would of liked to see a snappier kick drum in a more sort of consistent pattern and there seems to be a bit of an overlap in 1 or 2 places with the hats but aside from that this is friggin awesome :) fav'd

This still qualifies as DnB! I think why the 90 BPM works is that you are using it at double time in the case of some of the percussion. So it feels like 180. Very creative use of the vocals! This is a nice ambient style of DnB! The mix sounds pretty good to me overall, but I might bring out the bass a little more. Great work!
