i'm starting to get into this bluesy sound just off late as i've heard a lot of good numbers from other artists over the past few weeks. You can tell you've listened to a lot of this style as it's all set out very professionally and everything sounds great
What i particularly like is it has a real "smoky room" live feel to it which add's another level of depth and atmosphere.
Great work here. Really enjoyed this piece.

Thanks so much FR :)
Yup, I love my blues & would like to do more.
I spend more time writing lyrics than singing lately, though.
I had a great time dreaming up the lyrics for this, & the music Mark very kindly gave me to play with was superb!!
I'm a big fan of his, so I was truly honoured!
I was surprised at how well this came out, but then I had JoyfulWAVe to mix & master it for me, so that can't be bad, lol!
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it!
Marie :)
Ohh my i love the roomy feel on the overall track! I like the way you've interpreted the vocals and you kinda became a part of the actual song.
I don't really agree with the reverb on the vocals cause it's a bit to roomy in my opinion. I think a shorter plate combined with a wide room would have made a better impact on your voice and would have helped a bit the clarity.
I do however love the way you interact with that guitar...and it does make it sound as if this was recorded at a live performance.
Lol! Thank you Malu!
This was a dream to do, but you'll guess that I dont understand the techy stuff, lol! If you mean it's a bit too echoey, I agree! :)
I spend quite a whileon the lyrics & getting the right vocal melody for Mark's guitar track, which I loved before he let me muck around with it!
Live? Hmm, thanks, just the effect I hoped for! :)
I actually have driven through Paris in a sports car! lol...unlike Marian Faithful who I could have sworn was initially singing this song!...There's heaps of influences running here,Jeez if I close my eyes Big Brother and the Holding Company float across the stage amongst others...cool stuff Marie! and cooler still that it's a Blues number, for some weird reason that genre hardly gets a look in these days..more power to you!..I dig it..cheers Dave :)
Thanks Dave!
Again with the Marianne Faithful comparisons, lol!
All that time I spent as a kid trying to imitate her paid off, LMAO! I'd love to do a cover of As Tears Go By.
So glad you like it, & blues is my preferred genre. I've written a couple of other blues songs, but so far only really have the vocal melodies sorted out! But I have been sent some great stuff that I'll either use for those or write more lyrics for!
This one was easier since I had the music to work from. Love mark's guitar playing!
TY!
Marie :D
This is not my genre, but this sounds great!
Beautiful instrumental from Mark, your vocals go very well with the instrumental, nice blues vibe!
Great track
Description : Did you ever have those days when you are totally distracted? You find yourself switching from one thing to another due to overwhelm - say hallo to 'ADHD' But this time we could focus on the song and used some loops from Hysteria and Bigishi. And a big thanks to James who did help us with the guitars. (He was in the mood for blues :-) We are on Bandcamp as kayos2 Tell us what you think of this track....
Description : so having been inspired by our girl Rita singing the blues I threw myself in and had a go, i went at it with full gusto, i think soul, blues are hard to hit because the singers always have fantastic voices lush females and deep soulfull males with great baratone vocals, i obviously don't have the greatest voice, but you gotta have belief in yourself first, yes i put emotion into my lyric delivery so this was a stretch, its less Teddy Swimms more dimestop sings :)) i'm sure you'll let me know
Description : Of all the classic Monster tales the Wolfman is definitely one of the saddest. Cursed, and destined to live as both man and monster. During the day he sits alone with his guitar, a prisoner of lonely existence, crying his heart out through his music. Then at night, the beast emerges, and in the dark under a full moon, he cry's as he rips the hearts out of his victims! Such is the life of a cursed bluesman!
Description : Hopefully it is the first song of an imaginary album that I will call "Diverse waves". I believe the title of this "album" will keep me focused on a style that incorporates and blends various musical elements for the pleasure of our ears.
I really hope you will like the results of this attempt.
Description : This is a tune dedicated to my friend, Nancy, who followed me to the clubs I played at for years, and is still following me with my studio work. Why do I dedicate this to her? Onnacounta cause she's soooooo naughty! She never liked violins, but loved her sax! Here's to you, Nancy. Anyway, this is a little blues track with some nice guitar and sex...oh, sorry, I mean sax.
Description : guitar on right run thru my friends mesa rec 25. It has an absolutely gorgeous tone. The guitar playing D, C #, B is run thru guitar rig 6. The the pushed back guitar on the left is also run thru the mesa. My UNC chapel-hill decision letter is coming out tomorrow and I'm super stressed. Whipped out my guitar and recorded some stuff. Hope you like it.
Description : A sultry, seductive, and fairly short acoustic blues number. It is an instrumental and only took about 2 hours to write, record, and get a decent mix. Enjoy! Updated: I added some slight echo to the electric guitar and widened the stereo fields of the acoustic rhythm and leads.
Description : Miguel Flores, vocals. Jean-Maurice Humbert-Droz, lead guitars. Laurent Schwaar, guitars. Roland Sumi, bass. Richard Pizzorno, Hammond. Laurent Wirz Drums. Loop from josephfunk (rhodes). Composed by Miguel Flores.
Description : KesstA or "What's ur prob" Blues is an excuse for having fun recording several tracks of guitar and trying to make them sound alright all together. If it sounds a bit messy or jammy, well it's part of it.
Description : Fresh out of the studio after 10 weeks of deliberating, planning, writing and performing.
This could be classed as Country Blues or Southern Rock...either way I think it may get your toes tapping. So grab your partner and jump on the dance floor with this one.
I am performing the following instruments...vocals, electric guitars, slide acoustic, bass, harmonica, organ. I wrote the following instrument parts in MIDI....drums, percussion, piano, horns. This was a beast to master but I think it turned out okay.
No loops used.
What i particularly like is it has a real "smoky room" live feel to it which add's another level of depth and atmosphere.
