Description : I made a new rumble rack using only Reason devices. These rumbles are all from the RD-9 as source samples, then fed through a rumble chain of reverb, delay, overdrive distortion and filter. Finally I used the Pump device to shape the rumble. These last three are getting into hardstyle territory with all the distortion!

Description : A dark techno groove (straight) inspired by Megan Leber. Created entirely using modular: PNW clock, trigs and env. Trigs and env O&C-Piques+Grids. Drums Rample's perc fx samples x 4. QPAS panning hats. A-111-6 low tom pulse. Plaits in modal res mode. ATOM plucks and space. Amplinuator levels > STMIX A (kick > B). Sends to NE DV, sync ramp to Blend. Disting Mk4 compression. EQ + interface MODX.

Description : I tried out a couple of new plugins on this kick: Body Builder transient shaper and Hamburger saturation. I also clipped the crap out of the 909 kick as I recorded it into the PC through my analogue mixer. The overall result is pure techno.

Description : These kick loops are created using a method I learned from Aussie legend Mickey Nox. Basically you just sidechain a sound to a nice kick to create a rumble from almost anything. For these three loops I sidechained and filtered full hardtechno loops (some of my own earlier loops) and the results were pretty massive.
